Does anyone on /g/ own the LTT screwdriver?

Can I get an honest review of it?

despite her endorsement, i don't have one. simply because it's fucking expensive and i honestly do not *need* a high end screwdriver.
my 10+ year old hyper budget bosch kit is good enough (it not being fun and pleasant to use with a 40x hand tuned by linusgod himself ratchet pressure level is not a deal breaker)

why do people buy chonky screwdrivers to build computers lmao.
I've build hundreds upon hundreds of them and a small-ish handle + long shaft screwdriver is better than these things...
if you build a lot of them over a short amount of time then an electrical screwdriver is better if you care about your health anyways, I don't see the sweet spot where the llt screwdriver is a perfect fit

Yep . Screwdrivers with removable bits are not advisable for precision work anyway. They're a convenience item and make sense in some cases, but if you're not pressed for space (and why the f*** would you be if you're computer tech, you can fit all your shit in a small bag or a toolbox) you're better off of with a collection of full-shank dedicated drivers.

This only makes sense if you're like a server farm monkey who has to cover a lot of ground and doesn't want to tote their full kit around with them all day..

Not used it, will probably never use it.

I got an ifixit driver and the bits were shitty Chinese potmetal, I don't want to strip out every screw inside a laptop/pc/whatever because my shitty Chinese bits don't fit properly.
I exclusively use Wera drivers now, including a torque driver for my laptops. The precision and quality of the tips is second to none. PC/laptop case screws aren't even that long anyway, why would I need a ratchet driver? I'd rather be able to properly feel if the screw is slipping/stripping/locking up anyway.
>>105829273
The only thing I'd say is; slim screwdrivers fucking SUCK if you're dealing with anything slightly tight, or doing a lot of screws, my hand cramps up real bad if I'm using skinny drivers for a while. Slim drivers are WAY better for actually getting to where you need to be though

Picrel are precision driver's with the spinny knob thing on the end. Are you familiar with them?

If you want a ratcheting multi-bit screwdriver, fine, I like them, too. Paying $70 because it's a LTT one is absolutely retarded, though, when there's nicer German and Swiss made shit for half the price... I work in the trades and I have a thing for high quality tools, I mean I've paid 70 bucks for a f****** pair of pump pliers from Knipex before, but this is a bad deal no matter how you look at it. But it's your money go for it, fanboy.

Get where, friend? I have a precision set from Wiha about years ago that will probably outlast my working life, but I do own several Wera tools and I'm a big fan of them. Wera, Wiha, Knipex, Geodore are some of my favorite manufacturers, as well as good ol' Ridgid, since I'm an electric water pump technician and do a lot of mechanical and electrical work, as well as more technical shit like configurating VFDs and and interfacing with SCADA, and various other monitoring and telemetry systems for diagnostic purposes.

Lol. oh. One day, maybe.

I really like my Knipex stuff, but I go through so many side cutters that I just buy Channelock or Kleins, because I will invariably need to cut something the tool is not intended to cut because I don't have time to crawl out of the hole I'm in, or go back to the truck and get the appropriate tools.. so I end up chipping the blades then eventually you can't cut stranded wire without having to look closely at the blades and find a part that isn't chipped and fucked up, and I just don't want to spend that kind of money on Knipex stuff twice a year.

It absolutely isn't. Low resolution, no additional info, just a subpar 3d model. Post this garbage on /3d/, not here.

No.
>Can I get an honest review of it?
It's an overpriced trinket, marketed by a lackwit sōyboy you shouldn't be watching. Simple as.

i really dont get ratcheting screwdrivers, and much less in electronics where you dont need force. a free rotating end is enough
they told that the design is derived from one for car technicians, in which they deal with bigger screws...

I've done phone repair for years and never had an issue with bit kits over dedicated drivers. The latter just takes up more space and has more to replace should you happen to strip a head

It's a scam. Picrel is $100, high quality Taiwanese tools. I only broke a 1/4 extender because I yanked on it with the 1/2 ratchet haha

they are more comfortable, most jobs dont need a huge variety of screwdrivers often, and are way for works in tight spaces or places in which losing the bit is a problem
of course it doesn't make much sense for phones, so it depends on what you do

No, I buy my tools from reputable tool-making companies like Wiha or Vessel or Bosch. Tools that are marketed towards professional tradesmen and craftsmen are always going to be higher quality than tools marketed towards people who just want to open up a PS5 to clean it once a year.
