Just use the command line, it's way faster. Locate packages with sudo apt-cacge search [keyword] and then install them with sudo apt install [package 1] [package 2] ...

Gnome is not as bloated as Windows and neither is KDE. I personally don't use either but they're not as bloated. They're actually quite lightweight even compared with smaller DE like XFCE.

This but unironically, and so much shit you can’t remove because it’s a “core package”.
KDE is more bloated than windows, so is cinnamon.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Windows 11 IoT LTSC, Chris Titus utility, and some firewall tweaks are literally ALL you need.
ANYTHING else is just tinkertrooning. macOS AND any Linux/BSD is just a hobbyOS. That’s not to say they can’t be as functional or “better” in some respects, but if you ACTUALLY cared about maximizing your to tinkertrooning ratio, you would only ever use windows with the above stipulations.

and NONE will EVER be as functional or “just werks as windows.

cope and seethe

Do you even code? This is objectively false because you can't see Windows code. You have to guess what it's doing with high risks of making Windows functional.

Windows IOT is not full Windows and you won't have all features. Sorry it's true you might not care but it is.

You are so used to Windows, and only ever have significantly used Windows, that you think it's more functional. It's not. It's trash for development or anything that requires any sort of advanced work. Those GUI applications you think are full of features are for made for dummies and it's the only reason it's more widespread in workplaces, most workers in a company are dummies. Why do you think most servers use Linux distributions? It's not a coincidence.

No windows is not better for productivity, you simply only know how to use tools for dummies.

I meant making Windows *not* functional, before you resort to that. It's what dummies do. I know your kind. I have to deal with dummies all the time.

Does Linux Mint have:
>Microshit Edge?
>Windows Widgets?
>Microshit News?
>Microshit Weather?
>Microshit Solitaire collection?
>5GB/16GB RAM used on startup?

Things like Hypnotix can be removed and will stay removed.
