They both say 0.78mm though? Or is the spacing or length different or something?

>second, the az09 and similar bt hooks are dogshit hissy trash.
I'm specifically looking for blueshit and these look like the least bad that aren't ridiculously expensive. AZ09 Pro supports AptX HD, supposedly.

the az09 has a plastic shroud over the pins meant for qdc-style connection. gate has a slight recessed connection which makes it doubly incompatible.

if eq is needed, either use convolution files with jamesdsp and your app of choice, or poweramp

you can also opt for streaming via navidrome/jellyfin/plex into their respective apps or symfonium. many are also capable of caching, so if you only listen to a few things then use that

No idea about Earfun, but my Nothing Ear (1) has a very bad nozzle clogging problem, and it's not just me, you can find enough people over the internet with the same issue. But other than that I really like them. The slim case is nice to lug around in the pocket, the sound is very decent, ANC is serviceable, and swipe to adjust volume is genius -- I think they might've removed that in a newer version. Also it doesn't have any voiceovers, just beeps which I appreciate.
Highly subjective, but they're among the best fitting IEMs I've ever owned.
Anonymous No.105847904 [Report] >>105847967 >>105848027 >>105850076
I got a pair of TANCHJIM ZERO and I really like the sound, especially when using eq.
My big gripe is the nozzle is way too big, even with the skinniest tips they fall out way too often.
I wear glasses so over ear cable is a no go.
I'm looking for some IEMs that sound similar to the zero's, have a smaller nozzle so they fit deeper, and have a swappable cable because the zero's fixed cable will break eventually.
I bought all the tools and materials to do an ear impression with silicone and i want to make my own mold of my ear to make custom tips for them, maybe that makes the nozzle size less relevant but i don't wanna waste time and effort on the zero's, I would some more suitable IEMs for this project.
I don't think I'm too fussy with sound desu.
I asked this before and were recommended Thruthear Gate and 7Hz x Crinacle Zero :2.
Both of those seem to have almost the same nozzle sizes as the TANCHJIM ZERO, also both have overear cables.
The TANCHJIM ONE seem like they're what i want - bullet style cable downwards, swappable, and probably sound close to the ZEROs, but the nozzle is apparently again on the big side around 6.4mm?
I would like some ~5mm nozzle or something. Idk.
Anon please advise. I don't even know what nozzle sizes are common and there seems to be no real standard?

I dug out my caliper specially for you.
Nozzle diameters:
Tanchjim Zero -- 6.6mm
7hz Zero2 -- 6.5mm (it's also over-ear, so not sure why you mentioned it in the first place)
Tanchjim Tanya -- 5.9mm (but non-removable cable)
Now I've got something cool for you:
Yu9 U554 -- 3.5mm
And by extension the same nozzle diameters will be used on:
Yu9 404
Yu9 ER4B
Etymotic ER2/3/4

I also measured the rest of the bullet style ones I own (NiceHCK X39, Tangzu Princess Chan Le, Moondrop Quarks, and a secret fourth one) -- they all are 5.9mm. and beleieve me, those .6mm could make a real difference. And while they don't have removable cables, they all are so cheap that you can buy a couple of spares and don't worry about it.
Also you can try ordering SS tips, they're usually not included.

If I were you, I would do this.
1. Order an SS size tips to see if the help with Zeroes
2. If not, try any of 5.9mm options even with a non-removable cable -- again, they're cheap.
3. If that also doesn't work, save up for an ER2XR or Yu9 ER4B.
4. Even if that isn't an option, you can go either the custom IEM route (very expensive), or use headphones.

It seems you didn't really read my post. I wrote in my first post that I do want to do custom tips myself, hence why I don't want a fixed cable.
I already did some experiments and it's quite a bit of effort to get well-fitting and good looking custom silicon molded pieces, so I don't want to even try for an IEM that has a fixed cable that can break.
I already tried very skinny tips on the ZEROs which folded back onto the IEM adding basically only the material thickness of the tip itself, and they're WAY too big.
I think I'll try molding tips onto some TANCHJIM ONE's and see if i can get them deep enough into the custom mold to sound good.

Sigh. All I want is:

- bullet
- ~5mm or smaller nozzle
- replacable cable
- reasonable price

Apparently that's not really something that exists for some reason.

Anons, I might be medically retarded and slept through my physics classes in the school, but explain to me this: the frequency of the sound I hear is related to the frequency of the sound source movement, the faster it flaps, the higher the pitch; that part I know. What kind of magic is responsible for the loudness? Amplitude? So how far does the source move every cycle? Or what?

well actuallly it depends, but in general yes. when increasing loudness, or sound pressure level (SPL), you increase the pressure; there are many ways to achieve this, including how far the source moves.

You can call me whatever you want, and I'm not making any claims about their sound, build or ANC quality, but I never felt the need to go over 60% of volume with OG SP in the last two years of use.

The sound is changing air pressure. The frequency is how often the pressure changes, the volume is the magnitude of pressure. The magnitude of pressure is distance times surface.

The transparency makes everything sound like it went through a highpass filter, it's weird but you can hear people talking clearly still, so it does its job.
