Aren't ios apps just like flatpak containers - deduplication/shared runtimes? I imagine it's just 500 megabytes of google goodness and 150 megs of actual gmail

Are you trying to view on an abacus or something? Bro chill, you've got like 128GB RAM minimum in the modern era.
Anonymous No.105849510
That's what happens when you bring in a trillion lines of code from the 700 different libraries your "app" depends on.

the programs are made for the majority, not the minority.

the majority don't care, the majority have enough storage, the majority are more profitable.

You can swallow it down your throat or look for alternatives, complaining is absolutely in vain.

It contains all its libraries.
It contains codecs for most common file types.
It contains a browser.
It contains an email client.
The reason it's so large is because normies love bloat. They NEED to have a thumbnail of attachments. They NEED to have another browser in their Gmail app because they get confused when their "email" opens in Safari.
And it doesn't help that it's made by Google. The developers have no passion and no incentive to reduce the size.

For underage zoomers, 700 mb was the capacity of a CD-ROM, which took 3 hours to download on early broadband. Don't even ask about dial-up.

Windows XP is now officially smaller than an e-mail client. I'm too old for this shit.

ohh, so this is why it isn't included in LTSC!

I installed Win10 LTSC a few days ago, to get the annoying "muh win11 update" screens away, and wondered why images open in Paint.

CHRIST this kind of shit is so fucking annoying. not sure if any of you sorry lots had ever been forced to work with a jeet but 90% of the shit they contribute are meaningless drivel like this. i'd be in meetings actually talking about diagnostics and problem solving and fucking jeets would spam the teams chat channel with inane messages like this that provide literally nothing of value
>yes saarrs i highly vedy agree
