Do I really have to pay $100 for a fucking filament dryer? Isn't this just basically an oven?

you can use cheaper ones from that same brand

If you don't, your old filament will just be as dry spagueti. Try to bend it, and it will break as literally dry spagueti.

If you are using fresh out of the bag filament, you don't need that thing

btw, this cheaper model is WAY better than your "futuristic looking" Creality one

Look it up on the internet

It has a $1 PID controller and thermistor in it. That makes it $100.

I never understood why these machines have the tube outlet on the top. My 3D printer feeds the tube from the bottom up.

also, if you are new to 3d printing, don't buy shit you don't even need

Just print stuff, and see what problem you encounter. And solve that particular problem.

I'm almost 90% sure you don't even need that filament dryer, since you don't have any filament issues! It won't improve your 3d prints! It just makes your filament as if it was fresh out of the bag.

IMHO, the only thing you should inmediatly purchase in order to improve your 3d prints, is a flexible and SMOOTH PEI plate

Don't get those texturized ones, get the smooth ones. They aren't as common as the texturised PEI plates, but they are WAY better for removing your prints from it.

this is what I'm talking about

SMOOTH fucking PEI

You definitely need some kind of filament dryer if your spool is on the outside.

you don't always need that shit

but go ahead, waste your money, no one is going to prevent you from doing dumb financial decisions.

>buys every single 3d printing related gadget
>doesn't do any 3d modeling
>doesn't even print

what was your last print?

Printing stuff you find in thingverse does not count as a valid print

Anyone wanting to do this be careful though, pla is no problem but petg sticks to these too well and could rip off a layer of the plate. You need to use a gluestick with them

WTF?
I've been using 3D printers for 15 fucking years and not once I felt the need to use this garbage.

Get a food dehydrator and you can dry multiple spools at once AND make some jerky

Hi, what is a filament dryer? Is it for drying your dick when you're done banging twinks?
