4chan is lurked by a lot of tourists from other places (like TikTok), so threads like this boost the popularity of the browser and make it seem like a based /g/ thing, which increases appeal to the target audience.

I use Brave and Firefox.
Brave is decent.
Pros:

Brave doesn't have reproducible binaries so it is 100% proprietary. It supports LGBT and Google monopoly. It is Chromium spyware. Brave has sold user data illegally multiple times. Also stole money from users. Modified referral links. Has multiple keyloggers. Full data tracking. Whatever you search, Wireshark shows that it sends everything to Brave servers. Using this browser is worst thing you can ever do.
