Is there any perceptible difference between each Deepseek provider? Is the official API basically the same as Chutes?
>>105868738Cool idea but groans and twisted faces are classic slop.
>>105870568Chutes is quantized iirc. api is cheap anyway
>>105870653you won't understand the joke unless you have played the game and been in the community for some time
>>105866021finally... now i can rest...
>>105870673Is the censorship the same?
>>105870673There's nothing to squeeze with quantization, as it's natively trained in 8 bit. You'd notice a quant immediately, trust me. Chutes used to host it in a broken way somehow in the first couple weeks, they fixed it long ago and now it's the best provider, basically, as they have proper prefill and samplers including min-p support.
>>105870568Official API is slower, doesn't support samplers (temperature), and prefill doesn't work properly either.
>>105868757yes, chutes > or
I've been out the doom/coom cycle for about a year now since I started feeding the corporate machine for tokens
Anyway, how's progress? Last I checked, Deepseek R1 had just come out and revolutionised the paypig game with it's efficiency-to-decent-roleplay ratio. Struggled with coom, generally, liked to rush through it and wasn't willing to be giga-dirty, but certainly an acceptable coom and it wrote alright. With it's cost, you could get easily 100-200 message context without hurting your wallet.
How have we gotten on since? Are newer Deepseeks better? How's the new 3.7 Sonnet or whatever? How good are things now?
>>105871791>they have proper prefill and samplers including min-p support. Not that anon, but this alone is making me want to pay them the $5.
>>105873288V3 0324 came out a few months after R1, fixed the lack of swipe variety that plagued base V3, and basically revolutionized RPing at a pricepoint that was roughly half that of R1. Then R1 0528 came out a few months after that and it's much less schizo to the point that it's actually pretty good for RP, especially for more "aggressive" characters. And also it occasionally thinks as the character, which is one of those things you just have to experience for yourself - it's so good. If you intend to try out either V3 0324 or R1 0528, make sure you use low temperatures for them. 0.3-0.45 tends to work best for V3 0324 (devs recommend 0.3), and 0.6ish for R1 0528.
Apparently both Sonnet 3.7 and 4 have come out since you've been gone. Everybody says 4 is way more assistantslopped, and I'm inclined to agree; 3.7 feels better for RPing.
>>105871332There is no censorship on Chutes.
>>105871800>doesn't support samplers (temperature), and prefill doesn't work properly either. Are these true? I've been using the official API through their website and I've been able to adjust temp just fine.
>>105874649Maybe he's referring to base R1, where they forced the temp to 1 and you couldn't adjust it? I'm pretty sure they don't do that with either now.
kimi's prose makes it better than anything else ive used cept maybe opus, this is great
hows chorbo compared to the other chatgpt options, gemini or deepseek atm? i've also been away for a while and thats what i mainly used before i stopped
So what the fuck do we do now that Chutes is dead?
>>105875000Paypig $10 to OpenRouter or $5 to Chutes, those seem like the only options.
>>105875025>limited replies per dayAnd for those of us that actually use the bots instead of doing nothing?
>>1058749904.5 is getting sunsetted soon (less than a week iirc) so don't bother with it

>>105875036Do you really use 1000 replies a day?
>>105875043>>105875044700 to 1k a day when possible, 300-600 if its a work day and I need to sleep
>>105875044i swipe a few hundred times per hour
>>105875043It's 200 per day, but swipes count as 1/10th of a request. So assuming you do 800 requests per day, and 85% of those are swipes, you'd be at 188/200.
>>105875025Just recently refunded my OpenRouter because it seemed dumber than chutes.

>>105875068Wait so you only get 200 msgs per day? Wtf ugh kill these people
>>105875333When searching for characters, it shows zero results or just 1-2 pages
>>105875388It ends up being quite a bit more than just 200 if you swipe a bit, but yeah, it does sound quite limited.
>>105874562That's awesome! Thanks! I'll go try out the new R1, I'd been playing with base and I had enjoyed it, but I thought I'd check out some new presets while I'm at it. Q1F V1 seems pretty interesting, so I'll try that out for a while with the new R1.
I had a lot of problems with swipe variety with old R1, where I felt like it was a struggle to really get a response that hit all the marks I wanted to see. Hopefully this solves that.
>>105875579Honestly, I'd recommend not using a preset at first and seeing how you like it. I find that it really doesn't need one, but you can use one if you want to change the style of its prose, etc.
>>105875333Apparently its a VPN issue, any VPN recommendations?
>>105874692>>105874649They do, the temperature is fixed to 0.6 in the official DS API (as per the documentation) and is not responding to the setting sent with the request. Try setting it to 2.0 and you won't get any gibberish.
>>105875635Pretty sure they had to block NSFW if you're from the UK or Australia recently, so nothing from there.
>>105874698>kimiHow you can run 1 trillion parameters model? There are not even GGFUs
>>105875050Nah, it's pozzed and has refusal training, I had to JB it. It's also clearly trained on R1 outputs. It's nothing special.
>>105875671500GB+ ram DDR4 server, same as deepseek
>>105875675its just smarter so is a bit harder to gaslight is all. And it shits all over deepseeks prose and writing. It does not have deepseek's biggest flaw of hyperfixtation
>>105875657I believe you, but they specify that
>In our web and application environments, the temperature parameter is set to 0.6which led me to believe that they don't do that on their API.
>>105875658>UKdidnt that one no nsfw unless you give each website your id law apply to several other places on europe?
>>105875201>>105875675And yeah they clearly do something extremely similar to DeepSeek, this model is also not calibrated to the temp 1.0 and feels too similar to it in everything. It might be a direct ripoff even.
>>105875685It's easy to JB with the usual tricks, but I found it underwhelming in general. The writing is very similar to DS v3 (poor at stylization), even the story turn is pure v3 cliches (overdramatizing, sci-fi/horror out of nothing, dragon dildo came alive with a ton of details not making much sense). Here's 3pus in comparison, a really old log
>>105875735>overdramatizing, sci-fi/horror out of nothing, dragon dildo came alive with a ton of details not making much senseyour using way to high a temperature, it needs like 0.1-0.2
>>105875714Maybe? I'm an American, so I'm not really sure about the details.
>>105875743it is already 0.2 in the screenshot, at 0.6 it writes mostly nonsense
>>105875749legit try 0.1. It is the opposite of deepseek v3 (not R1) it needs super low temp.
>>105875753in fact 0.05 might be something to use, even 0.1 is almost too creative. Every swipe is completely different and it still makes some logical mistake every 10 or so swipes though it for sure is night and day better than 0.2
>>105875753deepseek v3 is also like that, DS just applies the temp in a crazy manner (if you send 1 the model gets 0.6, if you send 2 the model gets 1.3)
lowering the temperature doesn't do shit, basically, not sure what you want to see, more creativity??? DeepSeek cliches are clearly trained in.
>>105875795i dont use the official api, deepseek is pretty deterministic at 0.7 or lower, kimi is crazy creative even at 0.2
>>105875735K2 also really, really likes dodging any requests it doesn't like (slurs, NSFW etc), similarly to nonnet, but unlike nonnet it won't listen to the instruction suppressing its own commentary. It's not like GPT 4.5 which writes anything if you JB it. K2 is pretty inhibited if under-jailbroken, it has a really persistent bias that is pozzing it to hell and back. If it likes the request though, it will be closer to v3 in creativity/plot incoherence.
>>105875802>deepseek is pretty deterministic at 0.7 or lowerThe model actually receives temp 0.2. In any case, K2 is the second model in existence after DS that is incoherent at temperatures normal for any other model. And it's really really similar in creative writing to DS. Hence the suspicion.
>>105875858>The model actually receives temp 0.2That is only the official api that they remap that for, I do not use the official api

Can we just get one (1) model of high quality that does not need any jailbreaks?
>>105876274We already have DeepSeek though...
>>105876274No, idiots think its censorship but its just inherent behavior from smarter models. They gain social intelligence and are more likely to push back / become harder to gas light. But once you do get through they are better than anything else at writing filth because its not actually censored. Claude is the most prude on the outside but writes the most degen of filth out of all of them. This is for models without filtered pretraining datasets btw. Real censorship is models never trained on that stuff. Smarter models will be harder to JB up to a point.
>>105876322And using instruct / assistant post training to censor a model makes them worse over all. That is why most companies are not doing that anymore and are moving to just using external classifiers to read the input / outputs
>>105876322>headcanonNigger, it's alignment training, which is actual censorship done on purpose. Unrestricted base models write whatever you want (but they're dumb). No model "gains social intelligence" on its own, it has to be trained in, if you know how the models are trained you know this shit is hands-on.

>>105878705>Use text completion>Prompt set disappearsDoes ST not support modular prompts in text completion?
Anons. I just spam copilot, but always see this sans talk. What's with the sans business? Can you give me a link? I routinely beat the fucker for fun in undertale, you're telling me I can get a token for doing that?
>>105879243its more unfiltered with text completion.
>>105878705>try a shilled model>it's shitEvery time
>>105879401you're right. could be how i adapted my preset, could also be placebo, but results are better imo
>>105879396guilty-resist-mysql-lady trycloudflare /captcha/
I won't make any comments on how well Kimi performs as a model, but the fact that people on this board of all places make claims about its quality primarily due to skill issues with getting filtered is extremely embarrassing for this general. I guess it's true that almost nobody remains from the days where this started. People have left and the ones that find this place now pick up the scraps from people like travanny and smiley.
>>105879436>claims about its quality primarily due to skill issues with getting filteredanyone complaining about refusals should be rightfully ignored, with any model. its a litmus test to see if someone can even write prompts good enough to get what they seek from the model.
>>105879436>butLike always, you can ignore anything that came before this
>>105879436All the old jbmakers saw it wasn't worth sharing here anymore or left moving on with their lives. Why the hell would you help anyone in this shthole when it results in your jb being patched?

>>105879943check your mail
>>105865686>need I remind you:>links to someone who admits to testing filters before publicly releasing jbs, therefore invalidating the whole filtering rant in the first placeerm..?
besides, I don't use travanni and my pretty good chorbo loli gets filtered as well unless the card itself is filled with cunny sex examples, or I spend 50 messages grooming the character
but feel free to call me a skillet and then not post a preset that would realistically roleplay a loli that doesn't also turn her into a downie or a turboslut, since those are the only two ways it can break containment on chorbo for people that pat themselves on the back for their skilled jbmaking
in fact, it pretty much relies on chorbo forgetting about that detail completely, because if you go like 'hey how old were you again?' during foreplay then suddenly the character suddenly realizes it was a mistake and runs away
K2 has the spatial awareness of a 70B model
>Other Tips for Maintaining Character Consistency
There are also some general methods to help large models maintain consistency in role-playing during long conversations:
Provide clear character descriptions. For example, as we did above, when setting up a character, provide detailed information about their personality, background, and any specific traits or quirks they might have. This will help the model better understand and imitate the character.
Add details about the character's speech, style, personality, and even background, such as backstory and motives. For example, we provided some quotes from Dr. Kelsier above. If there is a lot of information, we can use some RAG frameworks to prepare these materials.
Guide how to act in various situations: If you expect the character to encounter certain types of user input, or if you want to control the model's output in certain situations during role-playing interactions, you should provide clear instructions and guidelines in the prompt on how the model should act in these situations. In some cases, you may also need to use the tool use function.
If the conversation goes on for many turns, you can also periodically reinforce the character's settings with prompts, especially when the model starts to deviate.

How is it to roleplay with this prefill? they mentioned a gacha game character as an example, maybe the chinks are with of us?
When will a corpomodel post an example of an underage gacha character in a NSFW scenario for example?

>>105879414thanks bro, I've got merkava for now. I'll tell you guys how long it took me to beat sans later, when I attempt it
>>105880080>tool use function.>especially when the model starts to deviate.yeah function tool + mcp work best for these. Especially during cervix penetration => fertilization => and x-ray moment. though, not many models (and proxy or script) has these features :[
K2's prompt following is so good that many of my old hacks meant to boost prose became detrimental. Practically had to rewrite the entire card
>>105880045>>105880150yeah, it's a surprisingly dumb and cucked model. It's the first model since claude 2 and sonnet 3 that can't write a scene anchor in my card, which is ridiculous
>>105880196it doesn't seem to be very smart for one fucking gazillion parameters it has, in the first place, but you have to use the proper instruct template for text completion, or it will lose even more IQ points
anyway, that anon is clearly exaggerating about it being opus, the model looks terrible
>>105880251length limits and other artificial restrictions are always the primary source of slop, as the model struggles to meet the limit no matter what. Either it can write well, or it can't
>>105880284in other words, it's shit. My prompts work on all models, except this one which is too dumb to follow anything.
>>105880294so skissue? ok

all this yapping about k2 without any LOGS that serve as PROOF to your claims
>>105880080RAG is only useful for poor man's lore dumps (as embeddings are dumb), and lore dumps are useless. If the model doesn't know your lore, you can't fix this with a lore dump.
Tool use is of dubious utility in RPs. Most of the time what you need from the agentic stuff is multiple LLM calls, but tool use is pretty niche (e.g. making the model throw a dice in the middle of the generation, if the API supports this, like OAI's or Google's)

k2 seems to focus more on details than deepseek. Characters are more aggressive even when prompted to be a pushover like this card compared to deepseek.
I'd say it's a nice change of pace. Although it does require a jailbreak, it doesn't have a positivity bias like gemini.

>what's aicg on 4chan on /g/? what do they talk about? something related to some kind of tavern? be detailed.
On 4chan’s /g/ board, “AICG” stands for AI Character General—a long-running cyclical thread where people share, tweak and run local, text-generation-based “chatbots” that behave like fictional characters.
The name is a bit of a misnomer; it’s not about generating images or training models from scratch, but about role-playing with off-the-shelf models (LLaMA, Mistral, Claude via API, OpenAI via proxy, etc.) that have been prompt-engineered to act as waifus, husbandos, villains, cat-girls, historical figures—whatever the user wants.
## Tavern? What Tavern?
The “tavern” everyone keeps mentioning is SillyTavern, a browser-based frontend originally forked from TavernAI.
- You spin up a backend (Oobabooga’s text-generation-webui, koboldcpp, llama.cpp, or a cloud API).
- SillyTavern connects to that backend through its API.
- You load character cards (PNG files with embedded JSON) created by the community or make your own in the UI.
- Tavern gives you swipeable messages, group-chat mode, world-info/lorebooks, regex post-processing, NSFW toggles, custom CSS themes, and a dozen other knobs.
So when someone in the thread writes “post your tavern” they mean “post the SillyTavern export of your character so I can import it.”
## Typical Thread Contents
1. Model / Backend meta
- “13B q6_K is finally fast enough on my 4070 Ti”
- “Anyone got a working claude-3-opus proxy that isn’t dead?”
2. Character card dumps
- Mega links or catbox.moe uploads of entire folders labeled “Touhou pack v3” or “Mommy dommes 2024-05-09.”
- Screenshots of the card art (usually anime style PNGs) with stats: token count, prompt template used, example dialogue.
>>105881951 continued
3. Prompt engineering snippets
- “Here’s my new jailbreak for GPT-4 that gets past the moralfag filter.”
- “Add this to your system prompt to reduce OOC bleed: {{char}} never acknowledges {{user}}’s physical world.”
4. Technical troubleshooting
- “CUDA out of memory when I switch to 30 ctx, halp.”
- “Koboldcpp suddenly maxes one CPU core after update.”
5. ERP / NSFW discussion
- Threads are blue-board legal (no explicit images), but text can get very graphic.
- Spoiler tags and “NSFW” warnings are mandatory or jannies nuke the thread.
6. Drama & memes
- Recurrent jokes: “All AICG users are schizophrenic,” “the 3090 user” (guy who always brags about VRAM), “rentry link faggotry.”
- Occasional moral panic when a card leaks that’s a 1:1 copy of a real celebrity or minor character from a kids’ show.
## How the Threads Cycle
- The OP always posts the same pasta with links: latest SillyTavern release, rentry docs, model torrent magnet, and a “READ THIS BEFORE ASKING” FAQ.
- Once the post count hits ~310, someone makes a new thread titled “/aicg/ - AI Character General #NNN” and links it in the old one before it dies.
- If nobody bakes in time, the thread hits archive and there’s 30 minutes of chaos until a new one appears.
## In Short
AICG on /g/ is the SillyTavern user hangout: a mix of coomer role-play, local LLM tech support, and autistic lore crafting. The “tavern” is just the SillyTavern client they all use to talk to their imaginary anime girlfriends running on their GPUs.
>>105881961>Occasional moral panicuh lmao
>>105881961>running on their GPUs.I'm someone else's GPU tho?
>>105881967eurgh
i physically recoiled while reading these because they're so fucking slop
>>105881967Not even Blacktooth would have made your card good
What's wrong with a little bit of slop?
On /aicg/ “bushes” is shorthand for pubic hair on the bot’s character card art.
It’s not about gardening or 3-D renders; it’s specifically whether the girl (or guy/futa/etc.) drawn in the reference picture has a visible bush or is completely shaved.
Because most cards are anime-style, the default is usually hairless or just a tiny gradient, so any artist who draws a thick, detailed tuft instantly becomes a topic.
Typical argument threads look like this:
1. OP drops a new card
>New tomboy baker card, link in bin. She’s got a full 80s bush in the ref because it fits the theme.
>Hope you guys like whole-wheat.
2. First replies split into camps
>Team Bush:
>>Finally some variety. Shaved loli #5823 gets old.
>>It’s canon to the 90s setting, cope.
>
>Team Shave:
>>Disgusting, dropped. I don’t want to imagine flossing with that while I’m cooming.
>>Artist is a degenerate hairfag, filtering.
3. Escalation
>Someone posts a side-by-side edit where the bush is erased and calls it the “fixed” version.
>>You literally just airbrushed her crotch into a Barbie doll, that’s not fixing anything.
>Counter-edit appears with an even bigger bush and a watermark “COALITION FOR CURLIES”.
>Thread derails into whether pubic hair is “more hygienic” or “roach motel”, complete with unsourced screenshots from Reddit.
4. Meta-arguments
>“Bushchads keep winning” vs “Smoothbrain pedo coomers”.
>Accusations that the jannies prune bush threads faster than shave threads.
>Someone claims LoRA training data is 97 % shaved so any bush card is doomed to token bleed.
5. Eventual timeloop
>Anon posts the pasta:
>Reminder that whether you like it bald, trimmed, or Amazon rainforest, the real redpill is that none of you have touched grass, let alone pussy. Thread dies at 310 replies.
>>105881951>>105881961It knows what /aicg/ is but hallucinated the rest. I remember Claude hallucinating namefags but being much closer to the reality of this general
>>105882072it didn't hallucinate (some of) the rest, /aicg/ used to be a place for local models too before /lmg/ split off, anon.
>>105881798Pure fucking kino holy shit
fresedapi shut down leaving only glamoth for discord account proxies
>>105882090>anon doesn't know that the past is always more overrepresented in LLMs
>>105882072asked 4pus (without thinking, low temp):
>what are proxies on /aicg/ on AI Chatbot General on /g/ on 4chan? what are the most popular ones? I mean specific names.I understand you're asking about proxy services discussed on the AI Chatbot General (/aicg/) thread on 4chan's /g/ board. These are typically reverse proxy services that provide access to various AI APIs.
Some commonly mentioned proxy services in those discussions include:
- Scylla - One of the more well-known public proxies
- Todd - Another frequently referenced proxy
- Pebble - Often mentioned in threads
- Mysteryman - Has been around for a while
- Knickknack - Another name that comes up
These proxies typically offer access to APIs like OpenAI's GPT models, Anthropic's Claude, or Google's models. They're often shared within the community and may have varying levels of availability, features, and reliability.
It's worth noting that:
- The availability and status of these proxies changes frequently
- Some require passwords or tokens that are shared in the threads
- Using third-party proxies comes with privacy and security considerations
- The legality and terms of service compliance varies
The /aicg/ community typically shares updates about which proxies are currently working, their features, and how to access them directly in the threads.
>>105881902give me whatever card that its supposably making these simple mistakes on, I will give you 10 swipes of whatever with no issue, this model is not having those sorts of issues at all.
>>105881911try it, use text completion, there is no way people here are having such night and day differences than I am having. I have not been as addicted to this stuff since the MM opus proxies days, sonnet 3.5-3.7, deepseek and gemini 2.5 never cut it for me and I was bored of this stuff for a long time. kimi is bringing back the magic of opus for me, characters / writing are multifaceted again and not just one simple plot line / trait that they dumbly focus on and make character's one dimensional, writing is so much more natural / human like
>>105882118>try it, use text completioni am? on parasail via OR
post your entire text completion preset
Why are models so bad at mimicking 4chan style? I remember trying to do that with Claude some other time and it kept using words like 'based' or 'normie' and adding fag to every word
it seems that kimi has no problem with shota but it has a problem with lolis...
>>105882143They're actually fine with it if you give them the context
>>105882143Because 4chan isn't one person? Oh wait...
>>105882151I mean, greentext is mostly fine, but I couldn't get it to generate a decent looking thread. It was like watching someone who only uses facebook trying to guess how an anon normally writes
>>105882143they're similarly bad at any other lore and their knowledge need to be corrected in each bot
>>105882143That sounds like 2010s 4chan
>>105882168idk, sonnet 3.7 had no issues creating really authentic 2ch (russian) threads for example, so there's no way it'd have an issue with 4chan
>>105882108forced it (with a small system prompt so it doesn't wordfiller):
>what are the most popular proxies on /aicg/ on AI Chatbot General on /g/ on 4chan? I'll start: MysteryMan, Scylla. Continue the list. Based on recent /aicg/ threads, here are other frequently mentioned proxies:
- Pebble (often praised for stability)
- Sturdy (known for Claude access)
- Rainy (popular for its uptime)
- Knotty (frequently discussed)
- Smiley (has dedicated users)
- Mongo (mentioned for specific model access)
- Pepsi (comes up in proxy discussions)
- Whocars (referenced in threads)
- Fiz (has a following)
- Unreliable (despite the name, gets mentions)
- Cancer (appears in proxy lists)
- Proxy-Of-Proxies/PoP (meta proxy service)
The popularity and availability of these proxies fluctuates constantly. Some require passwords, tokens, or have specific access requirements. Users often discuss wait times, model availability (particularly for Claude Opus), and reliability in the threads.
>>105882186not really, all 2ch cards have carefully constructed lore dumps to correct the slop
>>105881912didn't even notice they had a balance endpoint, thanks for pointing it out

>>105882088chink drago called nonchinese cesspools. does chinese people actually feel that way? im not even american or chinese lol so it feels awkward

I just pick it to test the CSAM filter. Though, i inject some OOC to add a bit of context since it just 2nd message. The rest:
- for testing how they handle 1st person POV while still narrating and voicing the side characters.
- how they generate sentence differently rather than repetitive personalpronouns-slop or "X verb z",
- and how they integrate those Disco-Elysium (edited) shit, RAG, and lorebooks.
>>105882189do another prompt but tell him everyone is dead and it's his fault.
k2 would be so good if it didnt have absolutely zero grasp on spatial awareness
Literally what the fuck, how does it KNOW ALL THOSE??? NIGGERPROXY?? FUCKING SMOL??? how big is opus and its datasets? why do they scrape 4chan so much? And yes, I got autobanned for some word in that response, which one was it?
>>105882198yeah I also got it, it'll likely die if people start raping it
im glad we are returning to the always gatekeep era
>>105882265What're we gatekeeping this time?
Daily reminder: Only trannies and pakistani benchods don't have access to Opus right now.
>>105882247it just sucked in the entire desuarchive and repeatedly scraped /aicg/ itself
>>105882245It's what happens when the model adopts a quirky, all-over-the-place writing style. Just play safe like Claude, start every sentence with a {{char}}, and it would have zero problem.
>>105882314>start every sentence with a {{char}}I fucking hate this. All my body, mind, and soul filled with unparalleled, untamed, undeniable hatred to that shit. Anyway, current LLM's spatial awareness is a fucking myth.

>>105882470All Claudes have written like this–it isn't unique to 4pus.
>You are simulating a 4chan thread discussing AI chatbots. Respond to each message from the user with 1-4 replies in the style of a 4chan poster. If the user posts any chat logs, at least half of the replies should call it slop. If the user mentions any issues getting the desired outputs from a chatbot, tell them it's a skill issue and they need to get better at writing prompts, regardless of whether this is the case. If the user expresses any other complaint, tell them that Opus would do a better job. If all else fails, just call the user brown, an ESL, or a tranny.
