Not trying to start a flame war but why do people stick with Chrome? They *used to be* da best browser evurr but the last several years of bloat and forced decisions like this turned me away long ago. I've moved between Firefox and Brave and am satisfied with Brave. Was your uBO on Chrome disabled? You can try regaining the access using Chrome flags. Should work on 138, maybe also on 139 with another flag.
Chrome 138 requires an additional flag to use all these. First set:
chrome://flags/#temporary-unexpire-flags-m137 [Enabled]
Then restart Chrome and you can set:
chrome://flags/#extension-manifest-v2-deprecation-warning [Disabled]
chrome://flags/#extension-manifest-v2-deprecation-disabled [Disabled]
chrome://flags/#extension-manifest-v2-deprecation-unsupported [Disabled]
chrome://flags/#allow-legacy-mv2-extensions [Enabled]
And restart Chrome again.

People will ask "why are you even using chrome at this point? or ever?" For one it was just the better browser functionally. But now I use it out of spite, not just for people saying "you shouldn't use it" (fuck off you're not special), but out of spite to Google because I will continue to use features they don't want me to whether they like it or not, go ahead and try and stop me, the only way to do that is to completely remove your own browser.
