I had to temporarily switch to Google's stock pixel rom after using GrapheneOS for 3 years due to a feature that sadly isn't available w/ GOS. Are there any ways to further "secure" the stock rom from law enforcement? Already aware of Google's advanced protection program and that certainly is one step forward but sadly it only incorporates 1 or 2 features that you get for granted on GrapheneOS.

I've already implemented some changes such as some of the adb configuration tweaks mentioned under gearjail.neocities.org but it doesn't seem like there's too many resources on what hidden configuration opens do what on android, sure I can go through the source and go through every configuration option but that's extraordinarily tedious.

I had a Poco for a stint. The bloatware wasn't bad. It was very easy to remove. The problem was that so much of HyperOS's functionality is tied to their DOGSHIT, INDEFENSIBLE BLOWN OUT PROLAPSED ANUS launcher. It would have been tolerable if I was able to use Nova Launcher, but I couldn't, so I sent it back.

My Oneplus 3 from 2017 feels just as snappy, and the interface is far more intuitive and you can easily customize everything.

Whether it's camera, or sound, the improvement over these 8 years are negligible.

I'm going to preface this by saying I'm absolutely clueless when it comes to smartphones. And historically, for the past couple of times I've bought a phone. I just go with a pixel because I know it'll run a custom ROM out of the box. My main concern when it comes to phones is long battery life since I have a commute to work and use my phone quite a bit.

After several mishaps/busted screens and having to replace my Pixel phones, which is quite expensive, I started to do more research into the budget market. I've found that several manufacturers now release sub $200 phones with exceptionally large batteries that quite fit my need with just the amount of storage that I require.

My question is this. The pixels usually come with 8 or more gigabytes of RAM while these budget models contain 6 or 4 gigabytes of RAM. How much RAM is typically OK for running three or four applications in the background on a phone, assuming I debloat the phone with ADB or install lineage? I haven't really used many different devices in quite a long time, so I can't really benchmark how Android runs and compare them.

It really has that over-the-top vibrancy that cheap smartphones tend to do.
