Will the AI bubble bursting be worse than the dotcom dubble crash and the 2008 financial crisis?

Very bad. Possibly the worst thing ever.
Financial niggas still will not be held accountable, while we the plebs get triple fisted.

When did we get AI? All we have are emulative autonomous systems.
Yes it can do whatever you train it to do, but that's all it can do, nothing more than that.

The dotcom bubble wasnt even that bad, only dumb money lost

AI is on a similar boat, only dumb money is likely to lose because there is some value to be gained with AI same as the internet after the dotcom bubble

The issue at the dot.com bubble, which is a very similar situation with AI today. Is that the business model is a bit flunky..
Currently it seems the business model of AI companies is a subscription service?? in a competitive space? Not exactly a cash cow..
Maybe there is some money in specialising AI for a specific purpose e.g. Company pay to have a custom AI made to sell magazines over the phone.
But that does not seem super scalable, it would require labour per job.

No. It will destroy the AI service companies. But everyone else is just contracting with them to offer some minor AI enhancement of an existing service or product. The issue in the dot com bubble was tons of new companies offering "thing" but on-the-internet! without any other business plan.

Wow it really seems like the cynicism of 4chan is off the charts with AI. Every board is utterly failing in critical thought. It’s confirmed for me that the users here are arrogant nihilists.

Ai can improve itself
Ai has far more compute power than a human brain, or several Indians
Ai can do all “knowledge jobs”
Humanoid robots already exist
Quantum computing and fusion power are already things with plenty of documentation
Modeling folding and identifying all proteins, this would take us thousands of years
Sensors/cameras already everyfuckingwhere feeding data to Ai
Your work is data, where you click, where and how you move your body, what you say when you speak.
Ai just simulated thousands of new crystals for possible uses in semiconductors and whatever else that shit is for
What the absolute fuck is wrong with you people?

You realise millions of jobs are mainly just typing words into a computer. LLMs can and will replace this.

This. Chatgpt, grok, etc are just tech demo toys at the moment. It's an arms race for which API is going to be dominant as the basis for end solutions.

>Ai can improve itself
To the contrary see "model collapse"
>Ai has far more compute power than a human brain, or several Indians
racism outside of /b/
>Ai can do all “knowledge jobs”
For about a day until it fucks of so monumentally that it results in a lawsuit
>Humanoid robots already exist
Without any software to make them useable for real world tasks. Computer vision and object permanence is below that of a chimp.
>Quantum computing and fusion power are already things with plenty of documentation
Wooo quantum quantum quantum quantum
>Modeling folding and identifying all proteins, this would take us thousands of years
That's one actually useful application because the problem is the perfect combination of repetitiveness and rigorous test-ability. Too bad many problems aren't like that.
>Sensors/cameras already everyfuckingwhere feeding data to Ai
The current paradigm of """AI""" would need more data that has been produced and could conceivably produced to make significant leaps at this point. We're deep into the law of diminishing returns at this point.
>Your work is data, where you click, where and how you move your body, what you say when you speak.
>Ai just simulated thousands of new crystals for possible uses in semiconductors and whatever else that shit is for
>What the absolute fuck is wrong with you people?
