Well back then I was playing PS3 games when PS4 was already out. I just bought an OLED Switch yesterday and I'm planning on getting a mod chip put into it. I don't really give a fuck about hype cycles, the best possible graphics, etc. I just want lots of fun games to play. I really do miss the days when you bought a game and it was the final version. You put it into your console and it just worked. That's gone even from modern consoles. We have games that underperformed on the Switch getting patches so they can run at 60fps on the Switch 2. Optimization is dead. Regardless of all of that I can have fun playing games without paying out the ass for PC parts.

Something I noticed on PTP that nobody here ever mentioned. When new superior full BDs for movies come out they take far longer to reach PTP than other trackers. Most uploaders don't want to bother with doing comparisons so they just upload them on other trackers that allow discs to coexist. So if you care about full discs you need backups to PTP. Even HUNO can be better for the latest discs.

I think the 1 disc policy is stupid anyway. Even for DVDs (yes I know it's PAL/NTSC). As many as possible should be allowed to coexist in case they have unique masters, subtitles, etc. It shouldn't just be in exceptional cases. Few people download them so it's not like you're going to overwhelm many people trying to make an informed decision, the same way having 10 different encodes like on BHD does. A user who just wants the best can look at the notes from encodes/remuxes.

Even IPT has the Kitsune release of it. People's automation setups are downloading the really shitty ones because they come out a couple hours before the AMZN rips. You can see the logoless untouched AMZN rip has a tiny swarm compared to the BAE slop. This specific example makes me think that I will need to blacklist specific shows in conjunction with specific group names to prevent this situation from happening with Sonarr downloads. It's a modern rule. In the past you could release V0 from WEB FLAC if you wanted to. It was rare that anyone did. Part of the reason was that FLAC cost more money when you would buy it from most shops. Even when I did releases from shops that gave FLAC for free I would just pre 320s because that's what everyone else was doing. Then came the days of the Google Play Music spam. All of that was enabled by a loophole in the scene rules. Technically ripping from streaming services was banned, but Google Play also sold music and the files were identical to the ones being streamed so you could meet the requirement with those. The more recent rules have changed to allow streaming.

anons what do I do about my datahoarding? I have like boxes full of externals and then a NAS too.
