where on YT or even Netflix or whatever every character does an exposition dump and tells instead of shows because the presumption is the viewer has it on in the background while doomscrolling their phone or fucking around online, so they're not really paying attention to the movie, show, or other content on YouTube.
None of this was some natural progression of content, it was specifically encouraged by the way social media companies, advertising, data mining etc...behind the media hosting fronts decided to provided financial and viewership incentives.
