I'm not even aware of any kind of option for companies to sponsor foreign workers... I mean I'm sure they exist, but it might be a lot of red tape and also why would a company want to pay American wages or in case of EU folks applying, deal with their lazy asses and not being able to speak Russian? Anyone who thinks they can get hired from abroad from a western country and move to Russia is deranged.

If you're not trolling, as a Russian, I can tell you there are good parts like the lifestyle and lower taxes. the jobs don't differ that much.
for context, my cousin works at yandex making self driving delivery robots, and gets paid 300k rubles monthly ($46k / year), no degree, mostly works from home. taxes are like 13% and a carton of eggs cost 1$. that's probably better than just about anything you can get in the EU but not quiet america level. plus you get to live in a big history city with a good metro and lots of cute girls you can walk in the park with or go to a festival and have hot sex.

I have a US passport but I'm making an indie game atm so I live in Saint Petersburg, the US frankly sucks for living in and US cities suck and the people suck. I studied in the UK and my classmates earned like a pathetic amount after graduating, much less than you can earn in piter or moscow even in dollar amounts. US is on a different level though, my other cousin works there and makes like 160k or something entry level after graduating
