Is there ANYTHING you can use an old phone for that's actually useful that you're not just better off using your current phone for? No meme shit like using it as a baby monitor or dedicated music player.

I makes a good home server in theory, if you have nothing else. Even adjacent to a real one. It's got battery backup built in, a pretty high amount of space with microsd expansion or even usb otg to add a harddrive maybe.
I haven't done it yet, I've been planning to though. I hit a bit of a block because the phone I want to use, the screen is completely broken, I can only control it with scrcpy from pc. But it's also not rooted. I might be able to root it with a broken screen, but I mean, one wrong selection on the recovery and it's bricked. Even if sucessful, scrcyp might stop working for some reason. So I can't really do anything advanced at the moment.

This. Just install Termux and use it as a headless server. Root makes it better but it's not required
If you can't think of a use for a server then just give us SSH credentials and we'll find something to do with it
