Uhm, yours looks less grainy even in Sora. I've tried to use a simple style prompt "Ink&watercolour washes mixed with anime aesthetics" followed just by the scene description, no technical guidance about textures, linework, etc., but it still gave me quite grainier stuff. Meh

Sora/4o has better and (much) longer prompt understanding. And it's better in terms of spatial awareness, getting compositions that follow the rule of thirds is easy and it's not *impossible* to get somewhat decent results when trying to place stuff at different distances (there's still a lot of room for improvement here, though). Its knowledge is also much vaster, a lot of niche stuff can get prompted just by writing them, and when that fails, you can just try to reference them using a picture.

No real idea, someone should ask that to Altman. Colour balance isn't always the same, which makes the whole thing even harder to understand (if it were fixed one could just assume they just use very blueish calibrated monitors at OpenAI), at least greyscale stuff (even if you use spot colour) come out neutral looking when I tried it.
