this isnt new. discord can see what you can type in real time too. so can other companies. they just choose not to expose it.

We already have an imageboard that shows what you're typing while you're typing it. That was sturdy and now metachan. The former's been around for a few years, and IIRC, wasn't even the first imageboard like that.

what they do is more akin to pinging a specific endpoint periodically while you do the act, sending the actual text data would be unnecessary liability and extra security responsibility

Facebook has been doing this since 2009. They specifically log people who type up posts or comments, and then delete them so they can see what they changed their mind on posting. If Facebook has been doing it since 2009, almost every other tech company does it too.

I would actually use this if I could set it to english. Imagine if Twitter had this feature. Imagine being able to bully someone who can't find the words to defend themself right away lol
