So OP saw that proprietary software is trash for cuckslaves and instead of being mad at proprietary that is reason why you don't have 5 GHz Wi-Fi for your router, you get mad open source? WTF

btw all my routers with OpenWRT have 5 GHz Wi-Fi.

I bought a shitty Comcast router from a thrift store for $5, flashed OpenWRT on it and all my WiFis work.

>Mediatek
usually pretty OK, ideal for openwrt.
>Broadcom
enjoy your closed source blobs that only work with a specific kernel version, but at least broadcom focused firmware like tomato can work ok.
>Qualcomm (formerly Atheros)
used to be good but since changing hands are becoming worse then Broadcom for open source driver support.

Name the router and the firmware. I bets it's the most obscure piece of shit that nobody has ever heard about with 5 users worldwide.
