Is there any problem with still using Windows 7?

For various reasons (mainly preference), I use Windows 7 on my main laptop. I use it for work, but also for browsing and, yes, for pornography.

I don't use an antivirus, but I'm careful not to click on any junk and don't install suspicious software. I recently ran Kaspersky's virus removal tool and everything was fine.

Only problems I can think of are software and hardware compatibility. I wish I was still running Windows 7. How do I get the aero effect working in a virtual machine?

Nah, I run NetTraffic sometimes and there is no suspicious upload or download connection when I'm not using it.

You can't use a lot of software past a certain update.
Web browser features may bug out or refuse to work like capcha. (i can't even post on 4chan on google in win7 anymore, but firefox still works for now).

the whole reason i had to move over to linux was because a lot of things actually don't work anymore. the computer becomes fine for just web browsing, media viewing, and older gaming. anything else will make you wish you were on a different OS.
