It's basically a regular donation that's posing as a subscription. If a person likes Hyprland and wants to help keep it being developed, donations help. But for some reason recently there's been a lot of these type of schemes where users are asked to subscribe to some service that provides only token goods or services instead of just being asked to donate regularly.

So found the pricing, seems to me is just a subscription for custom support. I guess it is fine for whomever wants to pay. However, Vaxry is kinda a contrarian considering he always claims not to bullshit, he could just make it a support stuff with some kind of whacky website where your name appears if you donate. Arch Linux does display your name at least instead of appearing in the release notes.
