If you have other Apple hardware and like to utilize "continuity" across devides, then yes. If only for an Apple TV subscription, they have an Apple TV app on other streaming boxes.
They seem pretty good but it sounds like there's a new one coming this year with better internals and a lower price. They get recommended a lot by home cinema/hifi commentators and they seem to be somewhat more privacy resepecting than alternatives
It’s the only choice if you want a streaming device that doesn’t constantly track you and push ads in your face. Also, it has the best Plex / Emby / Jellyfin client app, Infuse, which is exclusive to Apple platforms. And the UX is quite smooth and responsive due to having beefier than usual hardware for this product category.

infuse is fucking dogshit on apple tv, first of all you have to pay a subscription to even watch anything, you cant subscribe from the tv because of a bug, and even after you subscribe it constantly bitches at you to subscribe again. i had to resort to using swiftfin which is barely even functional but at least lets me watch my own content without constant splash screens begging for more money

Valid points, however once I subscribe the first time from another device it just auto-renews unless I decide not to. Haven’t had an issue since then. And I’d much rather pay the annual or even one-time fee for a much, much better experience than the mega-janky, feature-poor open-source clients in the App Store.
it's so sad when itoddlers grow up and they screech in your face they want to buy this or that movie on their TV like get a fucking life you golem nigger, stop holding me hostage
I got one to compensate for my shitty t*rkish TV having no useful apps and its been very good. cost £90 used off ebay for the 4k model, runs plex and plays everything ive thrown at it. Apart from VLC ive never used any other apps on it so i cant comment on apple TV or whatever but as a crutch to prop up shitty smart TV software its pretty good.
