They were not new then at all, I think 486s and shit existed. But they must have been bought in the 80s and the classes just stuck with them.
I think they were my first computer experience iirc.
I remember playing some duck game.
99% of the time, no one in the class knew how to use it but I think it was pretty simple shit like typing 'run'.
5.25" floppies were neat.
Some of the teachers were hardcore and would do graphical stuff with them. And TV channel/VHS overlays/effects(not sure what that's called).
