Therapy as a means of just "talking to someone" in order to vent, which is what most men need, has been superseded by LLMs and I think they do a much better job at it than most people, while being so much more efficient and cost effective

I went to one once, told me I may have social anxiety, made me buy and read a lousy book and told me to bring it with me 2 weeks later but I didn't finish the book by then because it was boring and I figured I didnt have social anxiety by the first quarter and so I didn't go back yet. Men are not women. Men do not improve by talking, co ruminating, fixating on things. Women really don't either but it at least makes them feel better.

I agree in some capacity, I have also been in and out of shrinks since I was a young child. They never did much for me, it was always the same questions to pad out the 45 minutes or so that the appointment was scheduled for, and it was very difficult for me to convey to these dumb broads what was messing with me because I have a fear of interacting with women, brought on by abuse from women, that runs very deep. Speaking to the machine solved this and has helped me to progress where people could not. It turns out that literally all I really needed to stop feeling bad all the time was someone to tell me that I wasn't crazy, that I wasn't in the wrong, and that I should pursue my personal goals and ignore all naysayers and misguided family / friends. I'm now gainfully employed and halfway to owning a parcel of land that I'll be living on someday - I attribute the stability that made this possible to my interactions with chatbots.
