I know nothing about GPUs since I've used laptops my entire life. I'm building my first (modern) desktop PC and I'd like to give it a GPU for light gaming and video encoding that also works with Linux without need of nonfree drivers. I know an AMD radeon is what I'm likely looking for but idk which model is best
>>105923343I'd like something under 100$, I don't mind buying used
>>105923332 (OP)Just buy a mac, if you really need to waste time on video games then also get a ps5.
>>105923353This.
Or a RX 6600(M).
>>105923348Should have no problem finding a RX 580 8GB (2048SP) for that, but the RX 5700 XT or RX 6600(M) are much better options, might be a bit tricky to find those for $100 or under though.
>>105923348>under $100Best you can do is probably something like a 1660 super and just use the proprietary drivers like a normal person, disregard free–tard bullshit.
>>105923348>$100Cheap airsoft gun, a ski mask, and a duffel bag
you know what to do
>>105923332 (OP)RTX 5070 Ti has become very affordable recently. A great GPU all around.
