That's how the lora is called up. If it needs a trigger word you'd use it alongside that lora prompt, if not then just the lora prompt.

Workflow?

Is there a ComfyUI node that logs the positive & negative prompts and the noise_seed to a text file for every successful gen? I am constantly canceling video gens and editing my prompts and by the time I finally get a good one, the exact prompt for the current seed often gets lost unless I ctrl-Z back to the correct point. It would be extremely useful to have a log file that connects prompts to seeds (which I can identify by filename).

I just mask more than 100% of the character. It doesn't matter if the mask is larger than the character. But it doesn't matter either if the mask is smaller than the character in the CNet depth map or whatever. I'd ensure it's at least as large as the area you want your character to occupy though. Just be careful about overlapping regions as those can sometimes degrade results.

You'd probably be able to get good results regardless, but I would still mask it. I would say that in this case the most important factor is to ensure both character regions have the "shoulder carry" and "hands on another's leg" tags.

I would include e.g. a hat in the region if I want my character to occupy this space, either because they themselves wear a hat, or maybe because they have very big hair.

Yes.

Here's a video of how I would mask the character regions in a Depth ControlNet + regional prompting scenario, took me less than a minute. If you get poor results you can always refine the masks.

There is (or was) a weird, inconsistent bug you can run into with loras + torch compile, where it will gradually degrade your gens more and more each time. If you are using compile and loras, try disabling compile and see if that fixes it.

Back in the SD1.4/1.5 days before the anime models came out people at least made high effort gens and even inpainted stuff, nowadays they just copy and paste danbooru tags and post the same shit over and over with little variations if any.
Tranime fags are by far the most retarded, obnoxious (and possibly underage) portion of the userbase, and I say this as a weeb myself who gooned a lot to the NovelAI leak back in the day, but this shit has certainly lost its novelty except for a genuinely obsessed crowd.
My main problem with Illustrious/noobai/pony etc gens is that people gen 1girls with the same face and indistinct artstyle just posing and doing nothing other that emphasizing the character's ass or boobs instead of aiming for something more alluring and inspiring. You can make the character take dozens of activities, for example, cooking, reading, eating, riding a bike, fighting etc, and adding interesting backgrounds or interactions, yet most of the time people just prompt for the girls doing nothing. You can't even say "it's only like that because local models are shit!!!" anymore because we have plenty of options for models that can do advanced compositions in natural language as well as shit like Kontext (where you can use real images as reference).

I blame the downfall of voldy/A1111 for this (started when he took long to support Flux, only Comfy had it at the time). A1111 was glorious to send your gens to the inpaint tab and fix whatever the problems your T2I gens had.

The new models to generate depthmaps are getting better and better and while I haven't tried the absolute latest one (video-depth-anything), I did try Distill Any Depth on release and it was really efficient for time spent encoding.
Then you can use any 3d video players on your headset to view it.

Just google "comfyui inpaint", that's all I had to do and I figured out the basic workflow for my needs in 15 minutes (completely new to Cumfy btw, currently moving to it after years of using Webui-based frontends). It's literally as simple as adding a couple of additional nodes to the basic workflow, and the options at least for masking are much better than in Forge. After I set it up it's as simple as pressing the 'send' button in Forge, so not sure what you're even whining about. It's not exclusive to inpainting to have to set the workflow up, it's literally how everything works in this UI, and in any case you can just google for workflow downloads if you're too lazy to noodle it yourself.

You can make images or video 3d to an extent, I haven't found any models that make high FOV images, and I don't know if the 3d conversion AI would work on them.

I've been satisfied with the depth models for a long time, what's garbage is the fill method for parts of the images that were occluded. The nunif iw3 author doesn't want to use inpainting methods because they are slow, but people convert images or short clips, especially with AI and social media. Without real inpainting edges are going to be artifacted to shit when you turn the convergence up so subjects of images actually look close to you.
