It involves aqua regia. Sane people use fume hoods. To break even you need to make recovering electronic scrap a full time profession and keep like a warehouse of stripped copper and other recovered metals and watch fluctuations of the market price. Also the actual old components do have some value so you spend a lot of time sorting them and tracking the market prices.

basically this. it takes a ton of computer trash and a lot of strong chemicals to separate plastic and trash metal from the tiny bit of gold. in certain situations it would make sense, like if you inherited a warehouse full of trashed chips, but not if you have to seek them out.

Mercury is a heavy metal that bonds to your blood like iron. If you get it into your system it gets into your blood.
Vaporizing a bunch of it and being anywhere near that vapor is insanely dangerous.
Generally speaking itโ€™s safe enough to handle on bare skin provided you donโ€™t have any cuts or scratches and keep it away from your nails and cuticles.

Wtf you talking about? You can fucking drink out of lead cups anon and even use lead plates without issue. Pewter smelting and lead soldering is also fairly safe with air circulation while your body naturally cycles out lead overtime. You can even reverse lead poisoning medically when you reach a point where the body can't cycle the lead fast enough.
