Can someone please explain how the *arrs handle quality profiles and indexer priority?

My desired functionality: If I have one tracker with a high priority, let's say I set BTN to 1 in Sonarr, I want it to go through my quality profile, searching only on BTN and grab whatever is available. If there are no matches, only then should it check more trackers.

Is this possible? Right now I feel like it's the other way around, where it'll search all my trackers for my top format in my quality profile, grab from BTN if available, but if not then it checks the next tracker.

I got this shitty system working today. It's for the hotel/condo IPTV server I run. I keep all parameters of the encodes I am making uniform, 6mbit x264+192k aac so it can be output like any other IPTV channel even though it was actually encoded with x264 using good settings (except the bitrate lol.) I fully expect to be just grabbing the first WEB-DL that comes out from IPT in most cases to fill this up. The results will still come out looking better than the versions of HBO/Cinemax etc we have on our system. Living in a country where copyright laws are disregarded by most is great.

BTN will always end up being the best match according to your filter then. I've been torrenting for nearly 20 years, and I still don't understand how seeding and leeching works.
I've been using qbittorent for the past... almost 10 years now. When I'm downloading a torrent, and it tells me that there are 16 seeds and 2 peers, does that mean there are 16 people around the world seeding the torrent so I can reach 100%? And when I see that my download speed is 7.4 Mib/s and my upload speed is 0.3 Mib/s, does that mean that I'm contributing or seeding at the same time as I'm leeching the torrent? If a torrent is at 0.4% how is it possible to seed anything, because sometimes I go to the peers list and someone is seeding despite having barely downloaded the torrent.

It's all relative. Game files shouldn't be compared to movies because game files should be untouched, be it a repack or something else. Regardless of the size of the download the actual files will need to be unpacked. The excessive compression used with their gay installers makes it take longer.
