1) It claims to be "without censorship", but aren't Gemmas heavily censored? If I ask something the normal Gemma 3 would get pissy about, how will this text encoder comply without downplaying or ignoring?
2) Since we are using a custom CLIP, does this mean LORAs trained on base illustrious doesn't work with this?(Because they are trained on clip_l + clip_g?)

I've looked at all the loras, and there's nothing I find interesting. Most of the videos I gen involve two or more characters too. This is why base models and finetunes are more interesting to me.

It's frustrating using inpaint or img2img. Every moment reminds me how stupid and siff SDXL really is. I feel stuck in this 1girl, solo paradox, unable to do more than capture a cute girl posing like a photo.

If I want to add some depth or a cute scene, like my chunibyo waifu chasing a pidgeon that snatched her sketchbooks at the park, SDXL starts messing things up, forgetting details or just plain failing.

I feel cucked beyond redemption. I was considering using img2img or inpainting with more advanced models like Chroma or any of the Flux variants. Has any stagnant bro done that before? It woukd be for 2D anime.

Controlnet are really good. There's one multi-mode for flux which can do all controlnet in one. They also combine well with lora or any checkpoint.

With flux it's better to have a low end step because the guidance of the controlnet is unironically a monster which will not leave enough room for flux to "paint" additional details. Some say strength of 0.75 and end step of 0.33, I use 0.8 and 0.3. You can see how the controlnet rapes the guidance for the first 30% steps in latent preview, it's quite funny, and then you leave flux alone to naturally "paint" over the early steps.

It has been a long time since I've used SDXL controlnet, but IIRC they do the exact same thing (maybe the guidance is less violent). In any case if you want max control of the pose you can't go wrong with using a controlnet. There's even an (awkward) online openpose editor https://openposeai.com/ for openpose controlnet, though you can also literally use a sketch for sketch controlnet.

That was just an experiment I ran with Kontext, I've been working on a Visual Novel, and getting different expressions for the same character in SDXL is a nightmare, I was using facedetailer for that with a different prompt highlighting the mood of the character, but you have to play with denoise to get what you want while trying to preserve the likeness of the character, meanwhile Kontext just works. The movement of the hands for me is just icing on the cake.
Btw, Clasped fingers are very difficult to get right but I think Kontext did pretty good.
I am not sure what is your particular use scenario, but it would surprise me if Kontext wasn't the superior alternative.
