I heard there was no straight conversion option. So I guess I'll just do a backup, wipe everything with a clean ltsc 10 install, then bring back any needed files

I can't say if its better than W10 LTSC because I haven't used that, I just went to Linux Mint on my main machine and only recently put W11 on a laptop I own.

It's not 2006 anymore grandpa, Linux is fully usable with GUI only now on all of the most frequently used distros.
If you're using terminal in Linux today you'd likely be using it in windows for similar tasks

Install startallback and get system wide darkmode. Also retain win32 context menus (instead of their dogshit slow winui3 oversized junk) and in dark mode.
Shift+f10 at OOBE setup and run start ms-cxh:localonly.
Be sure to disable memory security protection.
Disable VBS.
Fuck bitlocker.
Install power toys.
Activate with massgrave.

Not really. The "software manager" can only go so far. On Mint rn and it's a waste of time following completely ESL github directions to install a program's dependencies via terminal, and finding out half of the commands give errors, which the Mint forums aren't helpful in deciphering.
