The real problem about win updootes is that they fuck up your system settings, silently. I run 3 years old win 10 because of that. Cant be sure my system tweaks will hold if I press the doot button, and making them again is worse than dealing with occasional lincuck farts. It's like wiping someones else ass after they shit out stinky onions crap, not fun, ultimately pointless, repetitive bull which cant be automated. Muh security 100% compromised, but eh, win's corpo os, nothing unexpected. I need to re install it clean and just give up on making it interesting, it works best this way.

I used to be like you where I thought that disabling them through group policy was enough and then I shut off the internet Midway through an update after realizing it was downloading and despite it not having completed downloading the update, it still fucking tried to install the half fucking downloaded files and overwrote the fucking partition table of all my fucking disks.
