Yeah, I was thinking that too. Let's say 4chan implements something like this, you'd likely end up having to pay for both a VPN and a 4chan pass to allow you to use the VPN. If a site straight up blocks VPNs and blocks UK access, then I guess you're fucked, unless you can pay some guy in the continent to proxy your shit through his residential IP (I'm assuming VPN blocks work based on IP ranges known to be used by VPN services).

Not a bong here, howthoughever xhey can't do much about residential proxies though, since those are (obviously) not datacenter IPs and look exactly like a normal person connecting to the service. And yes, I know that your average bong is probably too much of a tech-illiterate nigger (this applies to the rest of the world as well) but its doable as long as you actually want to get around that.

In fact there is no need for anonymity in online age verification. Because a porn consumer is a potential sex offender, it would be not unreasonable to put them on a list.
Also sites will be required to block VPN unless a citizenship/personhood attestation can be verified.
