But my poco F3 just werks.
My only problem with it is the (I assume) small antenna, as it drops signal very easily, like in tunnels or cellars, where other phones at least have one bar left and still connected.

Massive piece of shit, slow, buggy and overall mediocre on top of being absurdly big and heavy
Never buying chink shit ever again

it has 5G though? I own a Poco and it gets 5G just fine, sure it is missing a few bands but I'm not one of those retards who buys a phone to go "TIME TO HEKKIN RUN NETWORK TESTS!". Last I checked I got like 4MB/s down or something which is more than I could ever use for Teams/Hangouts/gmaps/YT.

Unless I am missing something sounds like a picrel issue

The reason people care so much is that the phones do not include Band 71 support meaning that if you're in a heavy concrete brick building also in the basement or elevator you'll be limited to... 4g speeds... *sigh* I know it's hard.

Poco/xiaomi get shit because people who bought a cheap device went to Verizon to use it and got laughed at.

It's more than just band 71, atleast it was a few years ago when I was looking at chink phones.
Can't afford to be missing bands in a rural area, for urbanites its probably less of an issue

Also band 71 is a last ditch band. If its the only band available and your device is missing it, you just won't have service.
71 isn't even used when band 2, 4 and 41 are available because its relatively low capacity, atleast on T-Mobile.

Also 4g/5g doesn't really matter here as they share the same bands. There is no falling back to 4G if you where missing 71 for example.

I live in North Dakota and have seriously never lost coverage, I have no idea how more rural you can get in the US without being in some shit like nowhere arizona.
>If its the only band available and your device is missing it, you just won't have service.
Been in Fargo, to Chicago, to LA to Dallas. From Tampa to DC. been on google fi(t mobile) and 0 issues outside one dead zone that everyone knows about.

There must be some really niche situation for this to occur, most i've heard about people complaining is being inside building generally would have wifi no?

Band 71 is the most widely used, but not the only one used. If you have Band 2 and 41 you're good. IIRC 71 was the first roll out band and widely used due to geography so many of the "5G" phones that came from China that didn't have 71 would not work.

"Rural" is more than just a state.
You can be in Arizona and never leave a big city or metro. Even traveling on highways is pretty covered.
I live in SC and witnessed a few times when the only service was in a 600mhz band (lack of UC near signal bars)
Just going from my house to a rental property I never had service all the way there until I got a B71 phone.

Urbanites would probably call these areas more remote rather than rural, where you actually see farmland, houses are on 30 acres and if it wasn't for your car's headlights or the moon the roads would literally be pitch black at night.

I'm already using a chinkphone, very satisfied, I don't wanna away from using oneplus phones because of all the small quality of life fixes from standard android that would be missing on other chinkphones.
