If you got the beetus and use Dexcom, it's nice to have a blood glucose level on the watch. Got a Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 just for the quick access when I worked a physically demanding job and had to make sure I didn't go low. It's the number at the 10:00 position.

Any budget smartwatch which can answer messages and notifications?
Anonymous No.105956094
got an ultra 2 for my birthday
im most excited for sleep apnea test that will be available in my country soonTM, i use the action button as a light switch for my bed side lamp, its nice to see i have a low resting heart rate and a good ECG, i like that it vibrates on my wrist because i cant feel my phone vibrate in my pocket

its really a fancy trinket though, definitely optional accessory to your phone

I got a galaxy watch 7 like 3 days ago.
I do not do any of the fitness shit so I won't comment on that entire health front
I got it because I got it to control spotify and volume without taking my phone out of my pocket, which works flawlessly
Also it is impossible to miss a notification because it's literally vibrating on your wrist and by design, always in easy reach
Overall I'm very happy but I literally bought it for spotify so my expectations were basically only that

I'm considering to buy a smartwatch to write off as a health expense, get a reimbursement for the purchase with my health insurance and then return it to the seller.

I also got a watch 7 not too long ago and it's just ok, not a necessary device but it makes a few select things easier.

I use mine to track health and fitness and check the weather and thats about it.

Also, I got it for $150 dollars which is what I would pay for a nice g-shock or similiar, so it's worth it to me even just as someone who has a few different watches.

I thought battery life was gonna be a big deal since it's only 300mah but if you shower everyday you can charge it then and use it to even while you sleep to track that.

I'd buy it again just for the looks and utility all things considered, just don't overspend on the "latest and greatest" since they all do more or less the same things.

I had one once, but pretty much the only interest I had in it was biometric stuff, which it wouldn't just do passively all the time. The only other thing it could really do was connect to my phone and function as a smaller, shittier touchscreen display.

Until I can find one with a bunch of features that don't require connecting to a phone, and can't be done just as easily on the phone, I don't see the point.

the only "smartwatches" worth buying are the garmin gps running watches, and they have been worth buying since before they did anything more than used bluetooth to send gps tracks back and forth from phone to watch

ultra 2 does the same thing but with better gps accuracy and integrates better with ios devices

i have never understood the point of smartwatches. by the time they came out normies were sending fucking walls of text in SMS so good luck reading it on a watch, most people aren't fitness bunnies so the heart/sleep tracking bits are pointless for most users, and ain't nobody actually using them to play/browse media

I would ask "how would the gubberment even know you returned it" but 150$ for a glorified heart monitor is such a pittance to the government that they probably don't care

more importantly though you can't just claim random stuff as "medical benefits", i'm pretty sure a licensed medical professional has to do some paperwork on their end

youd think the government would be a soft target but they go after ppl doing social security fraud all the time.
>such a pittance
yeah so much risk for such a pittance. Even robbing a liquor store is a better deal.

I did this with a bunch of shit from Walmart with my FSA at the end of the year before I lowered my contributions. I don't understand why the funds don't transfer over to the next year. It's the Jewiest shit.

Depends on what you want, there are some really good sub $100 watches which can receive and even answer notifications, and there are some that can actually download offline maps for offroad camping and stuff.

Do not buy Wear OS smartwatches if you do buy one
Those chink ones or even the nice Garmins can last 2-3 weeks on a single charge meanwhile most of the Wear OS watches will only last 2-3 days even with sensors off and it fucking sucks ass
I wore my chink watch 24/7 even in my sleep it lasted so long. I got a Galaxy Watch since I thought it would be a nicer experience, but constantly charging it has put me off on wearing it completely
