is something wrong with my qbit v4.3.9? it rarely downloads shit above 2 MiB/s even tho my connection can handle a lot more and has done so in the past and there are plenty of seeders
in fact it shows seeders with 100% completion but drops the connection on them for no reason before I can start leeching

Deluge for the ultimate performance. It shits itself if you have too many torrents seeding though. One of the guys with a racing seedbox on RED has a setup that downloads the torrent and does the initial seeding with Deluge then later shifts the long term seeding to rtorrent. Other than that get an up to date qbit. 5.1.2 is whitelisted on all the trackers. Why is Deluge so much faster than any other torrent client? I’ve tried rtorrent, Transmission and qbittorrent but they all max out at around 200MiB/s whereas Deluge easily reaches twice the speed…Same torrent, same peers, same server.

Not available on my server and I quit using it after the controversies surrounding it like 10 years ago. Most people seem to be using qbittorrent but like I said, I can never seem to achieve speeds greater than 200MiB/s but with Deluge a well-seeded torrent bounces up to 400-500MiB/s and stays there until complete. The web UI often shits itself when speeds get too high but that doesn’t effect the actual daemon and it refreshes once the speeds drop down again.

I've figured out the best settings for my automation stack.

In prowlarr set my media trackers (ATH/BHD/PTP) to search freeleech only. I also have BTN which is ratioless so no setting is needed.
Set my default quality profile to 1080p, prioritizing webdls over BDs.

This works really well for me because 99% of the time I'm downloading something to watch just one time and I don't need a perfectly transparent encode. If I really like a movie and want to keep it long term I'll manually go and find the best torrent anyway.

Do you care about having the best quality versions of movies? I recall one example where I filled a request on /t/, both the bluray and the subtitles that were synced to the remux, which could be found on PTP, and the encode, which was exclusive to HDB, and the original bluray source were from KG. But nobody on KG synced their subtitles from the shittier older version to the new bluray source.
