some of yall may or may not know the lenovo k14 line up (not a thinkpad, but compatible with many thinkpad parts) and they make some solid entry level budget shit
ofr example, for 220 bucks i can get a used k14 with 32gb ddr4 ram (socketed, not soldered)
512 gb ssd
a ryzen 5 pro 5650u which outperforms 11th gen i5
vega 7 igpu which is solid for anything non gaming related (some light gaming is fine ig)
beware tho make sure you get the best battery option and avoid TN screens get ips lcd instead
it got 2 type c 3.2 ports, which u cna charge from
2 usb 3 ports
headphone jack, sd card reader, hdmi and rj45 eth
im upgrading from the lenovo g50 series to this, so while this k14 is relatively old and slow compared to modern systems nowadays, its hell lf a lot better than the i5 4210u i was dailying lmfao
