Debian has all sorts of bugs that just sit there after release.
But the best reason not to use it is that around a year/year and a half into the release you begin to feel the edges of using old software. Old problems you didn't even notice at release are glaringly in-your-face after you use something a bit more modern.

after using debian for a year, i agree. cracks start to appear after some time, specially in software. i havent tested testing, but stable is not that great for desktop.

Yeah. I do a bit of Unity game development. The text is tiny because it won't scale on the older wayland protocols whereas more modern systems don't have that problem. GCC is stuck back in version 12. GIMP is still version 2. Firefox you're best using the binary from Mozilla because ESR gets *old*.
It's just a lot of little shit. I still love Debian and use it on shit I use once in a while (I have a little laptop I use when I go out to smoke cigars, Debian system is perfect for just web browsing) but it's not ideal for a main computer after a certain point.

this is a great way to put that, it is not necessarily debian's fault or that it is bad, things have been moving too fast nowdays and debian with its proposed intend is left behind, while the roling realeses benefit better in todays scenario.

No, Debian is great for what it is. It has that development cycle for a reason (you don't *want* to do major updates on servers often) And you can use it as a general use system. I do at times because it's nice to have something dependable.
But the cracks do show after a certain point. There are workarounds (flatpaks, backports, distrobox) but they're not ideal.

I'm comfortable in a number of distros. I keep everything backed up with syncthing so it's trivial to hop to something else depending on my mood.
I've lost count of the number of times I've rage quit using something because of some minor annoyance just to jump back to Debian, even with its flaws. It's like homemade Linux comfort food.

debian is anti-white, they hate white people so much that they made most of them leave the project and now they struggle to maintain packages.
reminder that freaks do not actually work, they're like union representatives, they're here for the ideology and the beneftis, they never truly cared about getting shit done.
they're the ones who pushed the founder to suicide, they're not the ones harrassing white people
debian deserves to disappear

Why would I use a distro with no GUI updater, no kernel chooser, no GUI appstore, no timeshift included with no easy GUI installer.

I'm going to be getting a new framework 16 laptop soon and I'm going to install mint on it because it's a couple click installer and the OS just werks.

Also debians default spin of cinnamon is bloated and has too much garbage in it and the installer sucks really bad. Debians installer is garbage.

I like the cinnamon desktop and the mint tools like file renamer, library, usb image writer and formatter(which I'll use to easily install it on my laptop), libreoffice suite, backup tool, celluloid, etc

So I'll use linux mint since its released first for it and its supported and has a great range of apps.

KDE desktop has no real OS designed for it and its only available in arch linux as a vanilla.

Also discover sucks and is slow at installing packages.

XFCE sucks and is not anymore lightweight than cinnamon and the compositor sucks.

Gnome sucks, period because its barely even a usable desktop

So yeah I'm sticking to cinnamon and mint.
