It fucking sucks, lags, crashes and performs very poorly, unless you are literally using the most modern hardware available.

KDE has almost no quality control. They don't have consistent and reliable funding like GNOME does; meanwhile they have to support way more features. A bug in KDE only ever gets fixed when it bothers some random autist enough to go in and fix it himself.
It also doesn't help that Qt forces them to rewrite everything from scratch every few years.

Precisely because I have modern hardware I have problems with KDE.
Because I have a 4070 super, on Wayland I get constant graphical artifacts, and because I have a 360hz monitor, I have to set it to 240hz if I enable adaptive sync or it'll freak the fuck out.

Any time I hear about KDE or adjacent software, it's because of weird bugs and crashes. This thread is evidence of that.
When I see someone being positively receptive to KDE, I just assume they're fresh off the boat from Windows.
If the developers really managed to turn things around in the past year and a half then hats off to them.

It's not healthy to abstain from eating beef: it's packed with vitamins, iron, zinc, and protein.
