True, Linux is a kernel but distros are OSes.
More like an OS family I guess.

Cool. I'm on Win11 but I'm already experiencing problems from time to time. I even have Fedora lxqt iso and thinking of going back to Linux again.

Nothing wrong with using Linux. I'm on Linux right now. Use enough of them and you come to realize that every OS sucks and it's just a question of dealing with the problems you want to deal with.
The post was aimed at the fanboys. Use Linux but, for the love of god, don't become one of them, whose entire identities are tied up in a cope built around trying to convince people how elite they are.

Let's see... Mint, MX, Endeavour, Fedora KDE, Debian, Mageia, PCLinux, but the best I've used so far is Tumbleweed.

Just to be clear, my comment included Windows and Mac. I meant *all* OSes suck. They all have tradeoffs.
As for me, in no particular order, I'm Ubuntu, Mint, Arch, Gentoo, Slackware, Fedora, Silverblue, Aeon, Debian, and Tumbleweed (which I agree is a very solid choice).
I cut my teeth learning this stuff on FreeBSD back around 2011.
Point is I can't see being a fanboy over any of it. It boils down to tool for the job you need done right now and what tradeoffs you're willing to accept to use that tool.

(And no, FreeBSD doesn't count as a Linux but it was an easy transition to Arch from there.)

I'm willing to accept to trade software availability to come back to Linux, since I've never used Adobe, FLS or Corel apps on home (I've used them in schools) and free trials were annoying.

I'm not discouraging you from doing so.
I'm on Tumbleweed right now as a matter of fact. My problem is with fanboys, not general fans (of which I am one) or Linux itself.

this is accurate
lunix is for men with absent fathers
they do some basic searches and follow wikis to install a very streamlined by this point desktop lunix and then are insufferable about it online because it's a first and only """"achievement"""" in their lives
