I dual boot Manjaro and Windows.
Installing and maintaining Nvidia drivers is a lot more work on Windows, it's a breeze on Manjaro because it's just a normal package that gets updated with everything else.
On Windows you have to either manually download new drivers from the website or install crapware full of ads to and STILL manually press buttons to get the latest driver.

Pop OS, Nobara, Garuda are some distros that have ISOs with the Nvidia driver already included.
And adding repositories in many other distros takes minute at most and you do it once, just copy things into the terminal

OP, I recently sold my 3060 12gb and got a rx 6600 instead. It's a night and day difference. Just get AMD card, there are so many small inconveniences that you no longer have to deal with. For example, I couldn't get a game to run no matter what, switched to rx 6600 and it suddenly worked out of the box. Fuck Nvidia

Do not torture yourself by using Nvidia on Linux. It works for some, but for me switching was the right choice 100%. However, if you're adamant on torturing yourself, go with PikaOS.

maybe nobara, but none of the distros will work perfectly with every kind of nvidia card perfectly out of the box. a lot of the user guide you see are gaming related, but what works best for gaming doesn't work best for multimedia work. i used to say fedora, but now nouveau isn't that great with legacy cards. the black pill is if you really want performance you should go arch and read the docs

I don't understand what all your fucking idiot's issue is. After running my LLMs on Windows for a time I was fed with it taking ages to boot so I installed Arch on a spare cheap 128GB SSD to put my LLM on that (the actual models on the Windows drive).
Installing the GPU drivers was a no-brainer. I was ready to face struggles but it worked literally out of the box.

Mint is the correct answer. The image anon posted here is the driver install tool that comes from Ubuntu (Mint is just Ubuntu minus a bunch of nonsense, plus a better desktop). It's a matter of 30 seconds to get the drivers installed.

when you want to save something or upload something from other program, like a browser or signal messenger
it just won't memorise your last location where you saved that file to on signal

or it won't remember how you sort things, by type and name, and you will have files and directories one on top of eachother, but will remember the file location, this is in brave / librewolf browsers

how the file manager works in this context, is the most annoying thing for me

also, cinnamon is so weird that some things work on my thinkpad X220 properly, but not on my desktop. Like there was a spice RAM memory indicator. That thing would only work on my X220. Or, if I restart cinnamon, I would get a black screen on my desktop and I have to restart it again.
Yeah, I don't really recommend it.
Both, the X220 and my i9 9900k + RX6600 desktop have Arch with Cinnamon on them.
