You don't even need to permaseed. Today's neons always ask, why do I need HDB if I have BTN and PTP? But the trinity is perfection.

Download from BTN, no ratio rules, only required seedtime -> seed to HDB, no required seeding rules, HnR allowed, download as many movies as you want -> cross seed movies to PTP

Even if you get little upload on PTP because all those swarms are going to be full up you collect bonus points. You turn the bonus points into buffer. You save that buffer for the actual valuable content on PTP, the stuff you can't find on HDB. There are other techniques you can use too. I like abusing the freeleech on IPT to get full discs then cross seed them to HDB/PTP for maximum points but that's more advanced.

PTP has the biggest overall selection of movies. There are WEB-DLs from there that never make it to HDB. A few encoders on PTP don't post on HDB. There are other edge cases too where the best bluray never gets a remux or encode uploaded to HDB but it is on PTP. I'm not saying spam from BTN to PTP. I'm saying cross seed TV from BTN where it's freeleech to HDB where it can gain you ratio. Use that ratio to download movies on HDB. A large majority of the actual good encodes on PTP come from HDB despite those fringe things I mentioned. Then you cross seed them from HDB to PTP to earn buffer there too. All 3 trackers complement each other perfectly and represent the most efficient strategy when working together.

Why is the games site down

I just spent this morning downloading golden popcorn torrents from PTP (or whatever they're called) and I realized that very few of these are getting cross seeded to other trackers. Is this whole verification system a meme or do the best encodes actually not make their way down to other sites?

eac3to is part of it, but it's a combination of a lot of tools. eac3to is more of a demuxing tool. To encode the "best tool" is vapoursynth, however handbrake is good enough if you are starting out. With vapoursynth you would also need to use mkvtoolnix to put all of the different tracks back together.

The basic workflow is: demux sources, encode video stream, encode audio if your tracker doesn't like lossless audio for encodes, merge everything back together with mkvtoolnix and label tracks.

Depends on how much buffer you have. If you are fine on buffer just drop it after HnR timer. If not then just keep seeding for real upload credit until you feel comfortable dropping it.

I usually just use autobrr to race uploads I want and have it connected to sonarr and radarr. My sonarr and radarr instances prefer HDB encoders and blueray encodes. Else whatever is the best tag score in the TRASH guides stuff from PTP or BTN. And if its a FLUX webdl I just rip it straight from BHD BC it always shows up their first. I did also setup cross-seed to work with autobrr so I automatically cross-seed to other trackers I am on as well if the release is what sonarr picked. This system seems to get me pretty good buffer without thinking about it anymore

Why the fuck does radarr follow the same logic as Sonarr where it downloads the torrent in some directory, then creates a folder in your movie directory and links there?
I understand doing this for shows since you need to group seasons together, but for movies I want to start the download and immediately have it available to watch in jellyfin while it's still downloading.
There's no reason why it shouldn't be able to simply check if the movie torrent has a folder included, and if not create one in my movies folder and save it there directly.

Their value lies in their cultural knowledge and access, not their ability to produce encodes or anything like that. Like for instance you can find my entire directory of downloads from OPS and RED on soulseek. It's effortless for me to share that kind of content with others so I do it. On the other hand finding albums on RED/OPS then trying to find matching filenames on slsk so I can get that exact version takes effort. I do it anyway sometimes.
