Isn't it weird, that it is a secret who is funding GrapheneOS? I mean, you can look up which entities are funding thr tor project, mozilla foundation, wikipedia, linux... but not Graphene. Who are their biggest sponsors? It is a secret.

But where does stand Graphene politically? This is easy to answer. They use Mastodon as their favourite platform and their allies are all left wing (Mike Kuketz).

The real question you should be asking is why other "security-focused" ROMs like CalyxOS or /e/ don't implement security features like USB port control or memory tagging. GrapheneOS is open-source so it wouldn't be really difficult for them to implement it on Pixel phones at least, yet literally all they offer is microG, disabled connections to Google servers and that's it. It's almost like GrapheneOS isn't a snakeoil but everything else is.
