- assemble images that are like how you want to make
- caption the images in ways that you want to prompt

SDXL is more of an enigma because it's shitty but for normal images Flux wins and for gooning use Wan.

After wasting a LOT of time today trying to get the lightx2v gradio app working, then the comfyui wrapper, and both failing, I tried just using the lora in my usual wan 14b i2v fun camera workflow - it works great. Yes there is quality loss - it looks a little fried and oversharpened, but it's 3x as fast, so to me that's an OK tradeoff.
I'm using about 20GB VRAM with the lora, so regular 4090 users can definitely use this.

Do anons really get mad if you animate their gens? I usually do it because I enjoy the images didn't think people would take offense to it.

What are some really powerful Chroma style prompts?

Some I know:

Vintage photography:
>An image taken on a 1990s analog disposable camera

Realism:
>An amateur candid photograph taken on an iphone
or
>An amateur candid photograph taken on Sony Cybershot from Flickr

Cinematic movie-like:
>aesthetic 11, A movie scene featuring

High quality analog style
>Photograph taken on a Kodak Portra 400 55mm analog camera

VHS-style stills used to work really well on older versions of Chroma, but it doesn't have a strong effect anymore...
Sometimes if you add "magazine scan" to the prompt it adds a pleasing desplopfying effect too, but it unfortunately adds texts and other undesirable stuff.
For non-photographic gens, I had more success reproducing vintage artworks and retro CGI by mentioning in the prompt "Boxart/cover/promotional art for a PS1 N64 game (...)" as the games from that era feature older style art and cgi more often, as well as PS2 sometimes. The problem is that it adds the shitty console labels.
I haven't had success to consistently generate good ingame screenshots, it very often makes the images look like annoying offscreen images, lodestone should have scraped from Mobygames or Steam. Dalle3 was really strong at replicating the styles of certain games and eras, Chroma makes everything look like a PS2 era game

When running i2v on comfy, generally do i put in the full image prompts i used in the text encode or just i just simply describe what i want the video to do

like if i genned the pic, do i need to keep the same prompts or does i2v just care about what its being told to do

I've been using 4 steps and it has been good, i don't use any other optimizers anymore so the 4 steps helps shorten the time to gen. I think sage attention might be alright to use without it effecting the quality though i can't be sure of that. I tried getting Skimmed_CFG node to work with wan when using lightx2v because someone else mentioned that in the other thread but i was not able to make it work, would have been cool to have some cfg again.

anyway you will need to set cfg 1 if using lightx2v lora at 1.0 strength but yeah 4 steps is plenty.

Good thing I mentioned how with a Lora the anatomy aligns with the Lora anatomy and it's not like Flux where it's never good, Wan will just train to match your Lora and if you train one with several body types you like your gens will all have that body type with artifacts. I suspect I'm missing something very obvious, but I have a simple workflow from one of the pastebins, and if I click on the crop node, and the >execute to selected output nodes, I was hoping it would just show me what the crop was going to look like, instead it runs the entire workflow and trys to actually generate the video.
Is there a way I'm missing to just run an independent node? (i would post a pic but 4chan keeps saying upload failed)

I suspect I'm missing something very obvious, but I have a simple workflow from one of the pastebins, and if I click on the crop node, and the >execute to selected output nodes, I was hoping it would just show me what the crop was going to look like, instead it runs the entire workflow and trys to actually generate the video.
Is there a way I'm missing to just run an independent node? (i would post a pic but 4chan keeps saying upload failed)

I'm pretty sure everyone who got into img gen experimented with surreal and "creative" shit at some point. I think it gets very boring quickly though because unlike with human-made surrealism you exercise almost no creativity at all and, in the end, you are staring into some nonsensical slop.
With prompting for girls you get feel-good chemicals and are able to express some sort of intent, even if it's coom based. Imo 1girling is simply the end-game for most prompters.
