I've been complaining lately in various YouTube threads that the old extensions which I would use to block individual channels no longer affect the sidebar (the recommended videos on the right side when you click on a video) after YouTube made some UI changes. After several failed attempts to fix it with uBlock custom filters, I finally got the inspiration to search for a userscript on Greasyfork. And I found one that works so far. I'm sure most of you couldn't give less of a shit about this issue, but for no-lifers such as myself who have YouTube on in the background 16 hours a day, it might help:

https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/11057-block-youtube-users

Use: once activated, you should see a "B" symbol in the upper right of YouTube pages. Click it (or press ctrl+alt+B) then write the channel name in the blacklist or press the X next to the channel name on screen. You can read the rest on the script's Greasyfork page.

Oh, and obviously you need Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey (or whichever extension of the sort you prefer) to install the script, I just assumed that everyone who browses /g/ knows this by now, but maybe some anons don't use this stuff.

I'm not stupid enough to run a random script from /g/.

You can read the script yourself before installing, just click on the Code button at the top, on the Greasyfork page.

Also, this captcha is killing me, 120 second wait after every post even in the same thread.

Also, it's not my script, apparently it's as old as 2015 and has 10k installs. I'm not saying that necessarily makes it safe obviously, but still, it's a bit better than installing some unknown code from a /g/ post I'd say.

Effectively closed source though obfuscation. Avoid unless you want a black box.
Violentmonkey is the only real option

Yeah, I mostly like to mention both because some anons said that Violentmonkey lost their scripts after an update or something like that.

Honestly, they both have a habit of doing that from my experience. Just best practice to make a backup every now and then since neither can be trusted in that regard.
