>we will never have smartphones with physical keyboards ever again
fuck, this hurts too much... those BlackBerry phones that I used to have as a kid are fucking beautiful. Just look at them

This post seems part of a shilling campaign, just giving you a heads up.

This chink company Zinwa is selling a new board with a relatively modern SoC for the Passport, they've done the same for another model as well. Unless you want one of the Unihertz devices this is the best it gets.

That looks a lot like a Passport, but uglier. I still prefer the more classic BB look.

They got a reworked Classic, which looks really good. Don't know if I would spend 400 dollars on it though, mainly because I don't know anything about them.

I'm going to use my Key2 until I can't any longer. And even then I'm going to look into custom modifications or cloning.

Calling kickstarter a shilling campaign is a little odd. Like I guess in some way but isn't that the entire point of a fund raiser for a product?

>Key2
Does that run Android instead of BB's own OS?

Yeah. And unfortunately stuck on their variant of 8.1.0.
If the bootloader were unlocked it would be an even better device imo.

Fuck... I really need to buy one of those older BlackBerrys. I don't know if I want to risk buying one "new" and "sealed" from Ebay. Do you think BB OS will work or should I try and get an Android one?

Depends if you prefer QNX/BBOS or non-root Android.
I'm not the biggest fan of Android but considering this is my primary device I practically need to use either Android or IOS.
And even now that's a slight problem, apps like Slack consider 8 to be too old.
