This is the worst piece of shit I have ever had the displeasure of needing to work with. Fucking abysmal. Crashes on desktop, poor search functionality, CRASHES by TYPING TOO FAST, generally slow, cumbersome, and unintuitive.
FUCK organic maps.

Čau sousede, tak vyzkoušej OsmAnd, to je teprve tragédie. Organic aspoň trochu funguje. Nebo pro zobrazení map je ještě dobrej Gpxsee od Martina Tůmy

I just use a really old version of google maps, it lets me keep using it without google services. It sucks that its still a google app but nothing compares and I have to get to random places constantly

Meanwhile I think it's the best Android FOSS app I use, I don't know what to tell you besides

Works exceptionally well on Android.

This is what I was gonna say. Never used it on desktop, no point on using it on desktop. Offline FOSS :ChefsKiss:

I use it on Android for 95% of use cases. Not sure what's wrong with the desktop version.
Anonymous No.105998767 [Report] >>105998791
Like others in the thread, the little I've used it on android it has worked great. Where'd you even get a desktop version? Afaik it's mobile app.

it has a beta desktop package/flatpak option for Linux, never used it
because of OP I just downloaded it on Android to test and it seems to work fine
Anonymous No.105999024 [Report] >>106002239
Works great on android yeah. Much nicer than osmand, which is what I used previously.

What really kills me is that we will never ever ever have live traffic updates in a FOSS app. If I'm driving in the city, it's either use google maps (or google-owned waze) or gamble on pure intuition for what the least busy path will be and how long it will take.

I use mapy.com on Linux PCs and OsmAnd~ (with Acastus-Photon) on LineageOS. Only difference to proprietary alternatives is the fact that it doesn't matter if I am under the sea riding a horse and want to go top of the mountain flying airplane and these will get you there without internet access. Or you want to use bike, car, walk etc. I am almost certain you could use these to get from earth to moon and back. While Google Maps goes in a circles, confused why you are walking on main road while thinking you are middle of the lake. Or crashes because you are outside of the route.

>OP is retarded like always
>ALWAYS use FOSS and avoid proprietary software like Brave (no reproducible binaries)
>proprietary software is only software that has paid shills, paid anti-FOSS users trying to slave you and make you a cuck.

Have you tried organic maps? I found it much more polished than osmand. Curious to see if you prefer osmand or if you've simply never bothered switching yet.

Trannies(?) forked it and are calling it CoMaps (horrible name). The slav original devs are apparently shady and wanted to monetize it. I dunno I guess let's see what happens.
