In the past you had to open the documentation to search for functions that can do what you have to do. That active research used to make you learn the functions you most used, nowadays you just think "yeaa, this function is probably under this namespace/class so I just have to press . and read every single function".

The end result is that the function is used, regardless how you got to the conclusion. It really doesn't matter.

I use the LSP to go to each function's definition and so I end up reading more source code than before LSPs which also reduces the need for the docs

its still quicker to peruse the manual pages rather than guess and wait for auto-complete
