>deny internet access to your entire computer through your router
>set up a raspberry pi on the same network that is able to access the internet
>put a socks proxy server on the raspberry pi
>connect only your web browser to the socks proxy using the browser's settings
Telemetry has been defeated.

>put a socks proxy server on the raspberry pi
That can be done without paying for a service?

>just completely buttfuck your computer’s ability to connect online so Microsoft can’t tell what GPU you’re using
Just use Linux

Or just use an operating system that doesn't spy on you.

This trick would work even better on linux since you can configure most package managers to connect through the proxy as well
>but linux doesn't spy on you
Plenty of the gay software you download on a regular basis does

Openwrt is easier and can do everything you want, just find a router that supports it and flash it. Im guessing you want an adblock package but really id just use an adblock in your browser and a dns that blocks ads/trackers on your phone

I currently have openwrt on my old linksys router and I'm building a new one from scratch. If openwrt is still bullet proof I can stick to that the biggest problem with my store bought router was it's specs. This is great and will save me the learning curve, I just heard a lot of good things about opensense/pfsense especially if you have the hardware to run it.

im running openwrt with some aggressive stuff on a $20 xiaomi ax3000t (make sure you flash uboot, the chinese backdoor their hardware) which does 1gbps over wifi. i cant do any crazy shaping but it doesn't bother me. if i wanted a good spec openwrt router id get a flint 2 theyre selling pretty cheap right now

>privacy on a network level
Is a very generic phrase
there's a huge difference between blocking ads and preventing applications and windows processes from calling home (even though they might seem related if you're mentally ill)

No they can't nigger.
The configuration described in the op creates traffic that looks completely identical to regular web browser traffic when it leaves your network, you're literally insane

I'm building one with a Odroid H4+ with the network card attachment. I just want something flexible that I can also do virtualization with if needed (I don't want to add that layer to my router stack but it's still a nice to have) I want aggressive logging too so I'm slapping on a old 1tb ssd on to it.
>>105999134
I don't use windows but my GF uses mac I'm doing network wide adblock, vlans for normie devices and a dedicated one for her macbook too.
I also want to do a few other things but the biggest draw is that this router will last me for a long time and it was relatively cheap.
I'm using my old openwrt router as a access point to provide wifi 6

openwrt w/adguard and smartdns. run dante for socks and privoxy for your web gateway for more filtering options. if you have a vpn you can create a docker container with your socks proxy to route all socks traffic out through the vpn.

At this point, why not just setup the raspberry pi as a dedicated router?, or use an old PC/laptop?, block anything you don't want from ads to telemetry at a network level, with the added benefit of spying on the users.
