Is it a super popular character with lots of fanart? Get a base model that understand it, then find an artist style which you like. Extra good if said artist loves that character. For example, abmayo for Hatsune Miku.

Obscure character that only you and a handful of other autists know? LoRA. You are gonna do some legwork.

OC Donut Steel? You are going to need to generate the character yourself, edit images as needed and then train a LoRA. This is by far the most arduous.

Ah, then you are gonna need a good number of images of your donut. Several positions, points of views, actions, expressions, etc. I would suggest to go at it iteratively. Make like 50 or so images, then train a quick and dirty lora. Have the lora generate your donut and cherry pick the best you get. Gen more images and rinse and repeat until your donut is 100% consistent.

This is for wan, so no booru tags. I could bake it into the prompt that it's "FLCL Progressive..." or whatever. The first season is "extra edgy" so there's not a lot of traditional clean shots of characters.
I'll see which season has the clearest characters. I want molmo to be able to identify who is in each still it looks at. That way if you want a certain character from the show the lora should be able to give it to you.

Before that, I'd spent two years tracking down and downloading every episode of Evangelion on 56k in some postage stamp sized format and each track of the OSTs separately. I think it's best to make separate loras. FLCL Progressive gave me 461 good stills. I'd rather not make it a 1000+ image monster, that takes a lot longer to train.
