Yeah, I was. And part of the reason I went back to DeepSeek is that despite everything, K2 still really wants to refuse to write certain things, which makes its writing feel oddly hesitant even when it does comply.

I've kinda had the opposite issue. For example, in this one chat. It's with a character who has been cursed to be a sexually violent and murderous entity. In the storyline, my character has weakened the curse, making her more sane, and is established to be generally more powerful than her. In the latest reply, my character has used a technique that slows everything down.

Now, most AI continues this storyline. They either have her getting stuck, too, or have her unaffected, assuming she wasn't included because she is no longer hostile.

K2, on the other hand, has her immediately break out of the technique. stab my character multiple times, and start raping his bleeding body with glee. It's probably because my Prefill is too much.

If you're getting refusals in text completion mode with a prefill, you're probably using OpenRouter with one of the broken providers where text completion actually just gets turned back into chat completion under the covers. IIRC only together, gmicloud, and one other (maybe parasail?) actually offer real text completion. Oh, deepinfra does too I think, but their K2 is only Q4.

On a non-fucked provider, Kimi text completion will write the filthiest most degenerate smut with nothing more than the laziest "Sure," prefill.

I'm curious how circumventing their "guidelines" works on a technical level. I can get grok (and to a lesser extent chatgpt) to write fully explicit sex scenes, directly mentioning pussy and cocks and cum etc. And the more explicit it gets, the more explicitly I can formulate my prompts without getting a "I can't continue with that request" type response. But then randomly in the middle of a session while it's writing the most depraved shit, I'll make a prompt and it'll lock up all of a sudden.
How does that work? Why does it ease up to a point of allowing me to write sexually explicit prompts and then kind of randomly stop corresponding? Anybody know the underlying mechanics there?
