Zoomer brainrot. Sure Win7 is better than anything Windows released afterwards, but it's junk compared to XP, itself a more up to date version of 2000 that isn't necessarily better.

Firefox is dropping support in 2 months, and Cloudflare will soon block Windows 7. Just use rufus to get the bypass for Windows 11.

its just third world people who finally was able to move off of windows xp. they now made it to windows 7. in 15 years they will finally get a hold of windows 8 and you will see a rival of windows 8 because of it.

its why the third world needs to be banned off the internet.

Windows was crap from the beginning.

Win 3.1 was useless
Win 95/98 crashed all the fucking time
Win XP was pretty much just entirely a backdoor. Half the people running it had anonymous fucking SMB exposed to the public internet. You could literally just connect straight to their IP and brows their whole home directory. Also the change from the old windows kernel to the NT kernel broke half your Lego video games and the shitty FS corrupted itself all the time making the computer unbootable. Boomers used to pay me $100 a go to fix their broken registries because of this.
Windows vista was a god damn travesty in nearly every way. Not only was Areo horribly ugly it needed GPU acceleration when the best everyone had on a good day was a fucking Intel GMA950 then on top of that it moved the whole graphics stack into userspace so there was a ton of context switching and thrashing. It was borderline unusable.
Windows 7 is the same thing but they got all the PMs drunk or something so they could actually fix things without spamming new misfeatures.
Windows 8 was so heavy with telemetry and other bullshit you actually stopped being able to use electromechanical harddrives because the I/O traffic was so incredible. This is also around the time where Windows's network traffic started to become so bad it was a borderline DDOS on network infrastructure.
I don't even know what happened after this but I'd imagine it's worse. Just fucking run Linux Jesus Christ what's wrong with you.

I really love 7 but since it's no longer supported it's unusable without Linux level tinkering, at which point you might aswell use Linux.

A lot of people are reminiscing about old windows because windows 8/10/11 all suck and we know they're corporate spyware, that's why the upgrade from 7 to 10 was free. I wish windows 7 had security updates still, I would use that if I could
