Yes, it's a real diner, for Teslaheads. Like his epic Las Vegas hyperloop tunnels.

$15+tax+tips burgers, delicious!

>realize the economy is bad and your profits are bad
>come up with new stupid ideas to try to charge more for less
???

i feel like in the past, companies have lowered their prices in response to lowered purchasing power even if it meant taking a loss, if only to maintain their market share. but now its like they're doing the opposite? microsoft did the same with their games (until they realized it doesn't make any sense at all)

what's left of the money is firmly in the hands of wealthy boomers who don't go out to eat at slop restaurants or play video games, so they should just focus on scamming them instead

Tesla's brand is all about "luxury". Same with Apple. It's why their shit is so expensive. They have to keep up appearances. Even with things like "bacon" or a simple "burger" has to be $10-20+. Making anything of yours cheap would cheapen the brand, and make it lose its luxury status.

Even as Teslas sales/revenue decrease yet again, they can't slash prices. They don't want to be known as a "cheap car", so they have to maintain their cost. Right now, 50% of Tesla's revenue comes from subsidies, which will end this September.

Tesla was already breaking even, so with subsidies gone, and a continued decline of revenue, they will start going back into the red yet again.

Setting up expensive as fuck Tesla Diners all cross the US can bring in some extra revenue with minimal costs.

Musk's been saying he'd make a "Model 2" since last year. There's no concrete evidence he'd make one. That's just him saying shit like "FSD soon" to boost stock prices.

This isn't the same as slashing the prices of his current models massively. Just that he'd make a $25k model. Which is impossible, you cannot build a $25k car in the US with steel/parts tariffs ranging from 25-50%.

well, i think they're forced to make a cheaper model in order to compete, but it will probably still be a "premium" cheap model as opposed to chink cheap model, assuming they make it happen somehow

I don't snack. If I start eating something I'll eat the whole thing and want more.

Just eat at meals and drink water inbetween.

food cost should be 1/3rd of menu price. if they are paying a supplier $1 for a ounce of bacon pre-sliced that doesn't really sound too crazy.

Tesla has lost a lot of brand value in recent years. They now have premium prices for inferior hardware, especially since Chinese EVs have come out with lower prices but higher specs.

I don't think Supreme ever had a "luxury" attachment to their brand. It has always been "expensive shit" I think. A better comparison would be Gucci, which went from luxury to expensive shit because poor people would all their money just to buy 1 piece of item, killing the brand by attaching them to poor people. Luxury brands would be like Hermes, where they don't let you buy their bags unless you can prove your wealth by buying tons of their stuff first.

So do the Burgers in McDonald's advertising.
And then you open the falling apart Big Mac Box and you get some squashed cheap piece of shit that tastes worse than the laziest burger you can make at home.
